"Guns or Merle first?" T-Dog asked as we all got out of the van, weapons in hand.

"Merle! This ain't no discussion." Daryl snarled as he stepped closer to him.

"Glenn, you know the area, what do you think?" Dad asked as he stepped between Daryl and T-Dog to diffuse some of the tension.

"Merles closer, get him then go grab the bag." Glenn said as he put his backpack onto his back.

"It's settled then, let's go."

Making our way up the stairs I could see that there was still a chain wrapped around the handle of the door. Grabbing the bolt cutters from Glenn's bag I bent down and snipped the chain.

"Merle? Merle!" Daryl yelled as he bolted past me into the open.

"Aye! Look who came to save ol' Merle!" The familiar voice laughed as we all walked out into his view. "An' you brang officer friendly! And is that dear Lyla I see?" He laughed as he looked at my father then over to me.

"Hey Merle, hows it going? Looking a bit tanned there." I laughed as I strolled over taking a seat next to the man locked to a pipe.

"Stay still." Daryl muttered as he used the bolt cutters to snip through the handcuff.

"Startin' to think 'bout cuttin' my hand off if ya took any longer." Merle laughed as he hopped off the ground dramatically stretching his legs out. A hand suddenly coming into my view looking up I saw Daryl holding his hand out for me to take, doing so he pulled me up to my feet.

"Thank you." I smiled up at him, him giving me a grunt in reply.

"Let's grab these guns and get back." Dad said leading us off of the roof.

Getting the bag was rather easy, Glenn ran and grabbed it with us all coving his back, we were currently on the way back to the van.

"You've gotta be shitting me." I mumbled as we approached where the van used to sit. "Guess we're walking then." I sarcastically smiled to the rest of the group as we started the hour or two walk back to camp. Fantastic.

Screaming. All that was heard as we got close to the camp was screaming. Sharing a quick look we all began running to the camp, when we got there walkers were everywhere.

"Mum! Carl! Carol! Sophia!" Names we're being shouted from every angle, screams being heard for miles. Stabbing walkers left, right and centre I made my way further into camp behind the rest of the group. I suddenly spotted a small figure barrelling towards me.

"Sophia! Come here!" I yelled as I fought to make my way to her, grasping her hand I pulled her into my side. "Make sure you hold my hand at all times! You understand?" Nodding her head rapidly I carried on through the crowd, continuing to kill the walkers, Sophia by my side the whole time.

Silence, that's all that could be heard, that and the sobs of Andrea and Carol, Sophia's almost silent crying by my side. Amy was gone, so was Ed, not that it bothered me much, and Jim had been bit, which is what got my attention.

"Daryl no! We don't kill the living!" I heard my dad yell, me spinning round in time to see Daryl with a shovel raised towards Jim and my dad with his gun pointed at the back of Daryl's head. "Let's talk about this!"

"We don't kill the livin'? Then why is ya damn gun pointed at ma head?" Daryl snarled before walking off over to Merle giving me a slight smile as he passed.

Sighing I gestured for Sophia to go over to Carl as I sat down on one of the logs around the fire and blocked out the noise around me, Shane and my dads yelling over Jim, carol and Andreas sobs, everything. I couldn't stop my eyes from drifting over to the Dixon brothers' little camp they had going on, separate from the rest of us. My eyes landed on Daryl as he skinned, what looked like, a squirrel, I couldn't help but look over his arms that were at least 95% muscle, much like the rest of him. God he's gorgeous.

Wait what? I can't start having a thing for him, he's like 10 years older than me, if not more, mum and dad would go crazy, especially mum. But the more I look over at him the more I can't look away, until he catches my eye giving me a small smile causing a blush to instantly creep up my neck. Well damn, looks like I got a crush, great.

"C'mon Lyla, we need your help." Dad appeared behind me making me jump, He was asking for help with the bodies he didn't have to say it, with a nod of my head I got up and started to drag the corpses into separate groups, taking my mind of the impossible crush I had started to develop.
