Rosé and Y/N were sitting in a bookstore cafe together after classes. The students didn't do so well on their midterms, but were spared amongst the graded curve. Now, the students were attempting to cram and pass the class. And the worst part? They kept coming to their friendly TA, who teased the professor profusely. And she knew her stuff, no doubt about it. But Rosé still needed to learn the true mythos of the Gods for the curriculum, not the gossip she'd hear from Eros after he got home from his apprenticeship.

"So, was Jason cold? Is that why he had stolen the Fleece?" Rosé asked, sipping on the cup of hot cocoa that wasn't as good as Y/N's, but it'll do on a rainy day like today.

"Actually, he was promised his royal status if he returned it to Pelias." Y/N explained, turning the pages in her textbook. "And he meets Medea along the way...and that's a whole other story..."

"I know that one! I think he had it coming." Rosé thought out loud. "Could've spared the kids though."

"Well, love makes you do some crazy things." Y/N joked. "Like pledge allegiance to Apollo. And carry around a sword."

"I made you much more of a badass."

"You made all my dreams come true." Y/N smiled, kissing her on the cheek. "You know what's weird?"

"What?"

"There's so many monsters in mythology- and we haven't seen a single one yet. Does Zeus really want you back so badly? Because," Y/N moved her chair closer over to Rosé. "I want you all to myself."

A furious gust of wind was heard outside. Scratch marks began to appear on the windows. Wet leaves twirled in the wind until they dried up and floated away. A parking lot light even began to sway.

"I think you spoke too soon." Rosé told Y/N, grabbing her long gray cardigan and running outside. Y/N was right behind her, grabbing her sword and stuffing it into her jean pocket. The two ran outside quickly, watching the doors open by themselves due to the wind's tenacity.

Y/N was scared shitless. She was also very excited, though. She had been practicing her sword skills ever since the battle with Ryujin, and wanted to show off to the demigod a little. Besides, she was tired of her friends asking if her and Rosé were intimate. She didn't know how to bring it up in conversation, so Y/N didn't. The last thing she wanted was to make her uncomfortable.

Besides, she considered that stuff to be unimportant.

The wind gusts revealed themselves to be feathered, winged women- their hair was held up by gravity, their talons were sharp. They looked like something out of a children's storybook. Both Y/N and Rosé knew who they were- and who sent them.

"Harpies." Y/N thought out loud. "ANATO! Stand back, I got this."

Y/N skillfully lunged at the creatures, managing to lead one of the Harpies across the lot and slice them- they turned into a pile of dust and feathers. Rosé used her lightning bolts to grab two of the flying monsters and smash them together.

"Come home." The monster groaned, diving down towards Rosé. The demigod quickly used her powers to wrap the creature into a bolt of lightning, twirling it around.

"I am home." She shouted, flying off the ground and throwing the harpy into a dumpster. Y/N ran over and looked up at her in amazement.

"I didn't know you could fly." Y/N shouted, watching her tower over her.

"I did not know either." Rosé smiled, slowly coming down to the ground. "Do you think my father sent them?"

"Either him or Ryujin." Y/N deduced, watching her sword disappear into her hilt. "Something tells me we'll be safer back home."
