Jungkook's POV

She was gone. I was literally just holding her hand a second ago. I frantically looked around, but there was no sign of her. I could still remember how her hand felt in mine, and how calming her voice had sounded...

'Psh, he's so desperate for a girlfriend he started hallucinating.' The whole group of Ghostles burst into laughter. I was about to argue back, but I figured finding Momo was more important. The Ghostles probably had their own business to attend to as well, because they walked away, carrying their stream of laughter with them.

I grew more anxious with each passing second. How could she run away so quickly? Heck, the Ghostles didn't even notice her!

'Jungkook' a voice came from behind me. I turned around and yelped. 'Is that your name?'

It was Momo. 'Where did you go?!' I practically screamed at her face, 'The Ghostles could've caught you!'

She looked offended. Even if she wasn't, she decided not to touch on that topic. 'Those were the figures who barged into my house. They're called what? Ghosties?'

'Ghostles' I corrected her. 'No time to lose. Let's go.' I grabbed her hand again and led her into the dorm building. I figured I should save my questions for when we're actually safe.

Fortunately, we were able to make it into my room without getting caught by anyone. And I seemed to be full with good luck today, because even my roommate was out for work.

Momo came into the dorm in silence, looking around. She touched everything, not even bothered to address the issue at hand. For some reason it made me even more uncomfortable - she was just judging my house.

'Okay, I have a lot of questions to ask you.' I told her whilst multitasking. I threw my dirty piles of clothes under my bed and swept any dust under the carpet.

'Me too,' she replied, 'What were you doing in my home? And why did those things come and take you?'

I explained everything about the Ghost Kingdom to her. How things work, what we do. The surprising thing wasn't what I was telling her; it was her reaction. She wasn't shocked at all.

'Aren't you surprised? Scared?' I asked.

'I think I've read something about this. It sounds familiar.' She was examining my kitchen, opening the fridge and caressing my dish ware. 'So your job was to kill me?'

Well, it was my job, but admitting it to her was pretty embarrassing. My cheeks turned a dark shade of red. 'Well, yeah.'

I could have continued answering any questions she had, but I had plenty to ask her as well. 'But you, how did you escape my grasp?' When I had held on to her earlier, she easily flung my hand off her wrist. But no mortal should be able to deflect a ghost's strength.

'What do you mean? I just flicked you off.'

'You shouldn't be able to do that.'

'Geez, why do you keep telling me that? I should be able to do what I want, it's my life.'

Clearly she didn't understand the whole ghost mythology. But I didn't bother to explain. If I were to keep her here any longer, The Power would find her in no time. I merely had a few days - maybe even just a few hours - before he sensed her presence.

The thing was, she had nowhere to go. If I kept her here, The Power would be able to know. But if she went back to Earth, the search party would find her with ease. There was only one option: to get her to heaven.

I know that sounds crazy. In fact, I'm out of my mind to even think of that. She's a living, mortal, human girl. She's not dead. She can't pass the judges alive. But I wasn't going to kill her!

There was only one way to get her there: through the guarded entrance on The Power's floor. But there were a whole load of obstacles in between. But, it was still my only chance.

'Am I going to heaven?' She suddenly spoke.

I was caught off guard. 'What?' How did she...

'Is it cool there?'

'How did you know?'

'Know what?'

'That you're going to heaven?'

'Oh, so I am?'

'No, answer me. How did you know?'

'Chill man, I was just thinking out loud. But I'm going?'

I stared at her, squinting. I started to grow suspicious of her. Why did she mention that, just as I was thinking about it? This couldn't merely be a coincidence, could it? I observed her body language, but she just looked bored, opening and closing the fridge, watching the light turn off.

'I'm not saying anything. But you're gonna have to listen and trust me from now on, okay?' My stare never left hers.

She just looked back at me and copied my expression. 'Yes sir!' She exclaimed in a low voice, trying to imitate mine, immediately giggling afterwards. I felt my heart melt a bit, but I convinced myself it was the heat. I turned on the AC.

Luckily, according to my roommate's schedule, he wasn't going to be home for the night. I told Momo to sleep in his bed while I slept in mine.

I could barely get any sleep that night. I lay awake in a cold sweat, whilst Momo slept peacefully in a bundle of blankets. Thoughts ran through my mind, disastrous outcomes, annoying 'What If's. Am I really going to be crazy enough to follow out with this plan?

In the morning, Momo was awake before me. I had managed to get an hour of sleep, but the fear was enough to keep me from sleeping on the mission.

We left the house whilst everyone was having breakfast in the cafeteria, meaning any routes away from that room would be mostly empty, except for the occasional Ghostles passing through.

'So where are we going?' Momo asked as she followed me through the building.

'Umm, you'll see.' I was too focused on getting places to answer her. She huffed in annoyance.

Soon enough, we reached the elevator. This was strictly for staff only, but I hoped no one was planning on using it at this moment. The elevator doors opened as soon as I pressed the button, and we stepped in, pressing the 4th floor.

Normally I don't like elevator music, but as we stood there and let silence engulf us, I really wished our elevator had some tunes.

Eventually, we stopped on the 2nd floor. A Ghostle entered, looked me and Momo up and down, and came in. 'Jungkook. I heard you got a girlfriend. Is this her?' He asked.

At that moment I wished he would have just asked me what I was doing in the staff elevator. I was about to answer when Momo suddenly interrupted. 'HAHA. Me, his girlfriend? I'm sorry but that's the wildest thing I've ever heard in my entire life.'

I widened my eyes. The Ghostle whipped his head round to face her. 'In your entire life?'

Momo was about to pull out something stupid again so I had to quickly react. 'HAHA SUCH A FUNNY JOKE! You wish you still had a life!' I nervously laughed.

The doors to the 4th floor opened and I grabbed Momo's hand. The Ghostle screamed behind us, 'Jungkook! I know what she is!' I looked behind. His gun was raised toward us.
