Momo's POV
I crept slowly into my room. It's directly above the chandelier, and I had heard a faint snicker from this direction. The door to my room was slightly ajar.
I pushed it further open, an elongated creak sound audible around the house. Scanning the room, nothing was out of place, no unusual activity, except for the empty chips packet on my floor.
Upon further inspection, I realised: it was the chips I had bought from the convenience store. But the thing is, I hadn't eaten it, and I definitely never brought it up here. It was completely empty, every last bit had been eaten, but by who? I had no idea.
For some reason, I was merely affected by the strange occurrence. Maybe it was the fact that I was living in a haunted house, and I expected things like this to happen. I tossed the trash into the bin and went to bed.
Meanwhile:
The ghost kingdom shook as The Power's fiat collided with his table. 'WHAT IS HE THINKING?'
Two Meeklings (The Power's assistants) stood on either side of him. 'S-sir,' one spoke, voice wavering, 'Perhaps you should calm down.'
'I sent him there to scare her! Not to eat chips!'
He massaged his temples, his red face turning a darker shade of red, if that was even possible. 'Send out the Ghostles.'The other Meekling's eyes widened. 'But sir, it's too early for that. You never know if-'
'I said, send out the Ghostles!'
'Y-yes, sir' Both Meeklings glanced at each other, hesitating, but they were too scared to disobey. They ran out the door towards the barracks.
Meanwhile The Power was left on his throne, expression twisted darkly. 'That boy just doesn't know how to listen. I won't let him get what belongs to me.'
A screen lay on his desk in front him, displaying a view of Jungkook admiring Momo in her sleep. The Power's jaw clenched. 'I will get my queen back.'

Momo's POVI awoke to the disturbing sounds of loud banging on my front door. I groaned, annoyed that I couldn't even get a good sleep. 'Coming, coming!' I yelled.
Despite my constant yelling, the banging wouldn't stop and I was forced to run down. I opened the door and yelped.
Last time I checked, it wasn't Halloween yet. But standing at my door were figures dressed in black robes, faces hidden. They each held a sleek, long, grey gun, one hand positioned with the finger on the trigger, as if they were ready to shoot. The guns looked eerily real, and their fingers were unusually long and slender, and I doubted whether there was actually skin or not. There were around ten or twelve of them.
Before I could say anything, the one in front spoke with a deep, hissing voice, like you'd expect to hear in a prank call about death. 'Step aside, girl.' He pushed me out of the way with no trouble, and they all marched past me in sync, like an army.
'Wait, who are you people?!' My voice was desperate, but even I could barely hear myself over their echoing stomps. None of them stopped to answer me.
I began to run upstairs after them, but my legs felt like jello. One step felt like I'd just run a 5K marathon. I hadn't even made it to the base of the stairs when an unfamiliar voice could be heard coming from my room.
'Wait, no! I haven't done anything wrong!' It was the voice of a boy, 'Please don't take me away! I'm doing my job'
The deep voice that had spoke to me before answered him back, 'The Power knows what you've been doing. You have violated the rules.'
I could hear sounds of the boy struggling against their grip. I could tell they were making their way downstairs as their synchronized march began again, and just as I was about to take another step an invisible force pushed me backwards, and I was sent flying to the other side of the room. My back hit the wall and I slid down onto the floor.
The crowd of hooded figures appeared on my staircase, but this time, in the centre was a familiar face. I recognized the eyes, the expression - it was the head I had seen on my ceiling the night before.
They marched past me but I couldn't get up. The boy looked at me with a desperate expression, as if to say, Help me!
Just as the last row of figures disappeared out the entrance, a surge of energy travelled through my body, from the tip of my toes to the top of my head. I bounced up and followed after them.
When I reached the door I stopped. Right outside was a circle in the middle of the road, a black outline and a purple filling, the texture sort of shifting as if it were water. It looked exactly as you would expect a portal to look like, and that's exactly what it was. The rows of figures waked straight into it and disappeared. The vortex slowly began shrinking, and I knew it would be gone soon.
I was sort of paralyzed, not physically, because I was still able to move, but paralyzed with shock. Am I hallucinating? Should I follow them? My thoughts raced at an inhumane speed. Thinking of my house, my belongings, my activities, I have nothing to lose, right? I ran and dove into the portal.
