Jungkook's POV

I came out the room with low spirits. I should I have known The Power would be watching me do my job. Heck, it was my first mission after my break, how had the thought not crossed my mind even once?

Sure, I didn't want this job. But now that I was about to be exiled, I realised, I have nowhere to go. This place gave me a home, food and all the necessities I need to live (although I'm not even alive). Now that I'm exiled, what am I supposed to do? I can't just walk around in Earth and be lonely forever.

Just as I was about to make my way back to my dorm, I looked up, and I locked eyes with someone I would have never expected to see again: Momo.

From the other side of the room, she looked at me, wide eyed. I could see a hint of anger in her eyes, but also confusion, and curiosity. She was still in her Hello Kitty pajamas, hair a complete mess. But that's not what concerned me. She shouldn't be here.

'Hey you!' She yelled at me, pointing her finger, 'Oh boy, I have so many questions for you!' Her loud voice echoed across all eight floors. Everyone turned to look at her, then at me. I quickly ran over to her.

'Haha yeah well your questions will have to wait,' I grabbed her arm, 'Follow me.'

She broke out of my grip easily. I stared at her in shock. How did she do that? No mortal should be able t- 'GET OFF!' She screamed.

If there was anyone who wasn't paying attention to us before, they sure were now. I could feel the stares of everyone on me. Their gazes burned into my skin. They whispered.

'Is that her?'

'It can't be'

'No way'

Desperate to not cause a scene, I quickly grabbed her wrist again and pulled her away before she could process what was happening. It would only be a matter of time before she tried to get me off her again, so I quickly scanned my surroundings and brought us both into the storage room.

Once we were inside, she pulled her arm back from me. She opened her mouth to speak but I quickly covered it, and she glared at me, bewildered. 'Shhhhh!'

After a while, I figured she would have calmed down, so I slowly removed my hand. 'Look, I know you have a lot to ask, but please answer my questions first.' I spoke in a hurry before she could yell at me again.

I knew she wouldn't agree so I asked my question before she could start. 'How did you get here?'

'Well you dragged me here!'

'No- that's not what I meant!' She smirked, satisfied with my annoyance. 'You're supposed to be in your house!'

'Last time I was at my house this army came and took you away- wait, what were they?'

'I'll explain that later. Did you, by any chance, go through a portal?'

Something in her seemed to click. 'Yes! I did! It was so freaky though, I'm never doing that again.'

'No way...' Silence overcame us. It seemed she grew scared as she saw me, curled up, eyes wide, deep in thought.

'What do you mean, no way? What's wrong?'

'You're supposed to be dead.'

'Hold up, WHAT?' She backed up.

'Listen, you're in the Ghost Kingdom.' I spoke calmly, trying not to shock her, 'You went through the portal that brought you here. You weren't supposed to. No mortal should be able to go within a 5 meter radius of it, or they would get blasted away. But you even went in it. That force should have crushed you into pieces.'

I was expecting her to scream at me, to tell me I was crazy, or to not even believe me, but she sat there in silence, thinking.

The lack of speech made me uncomfortable, but I figured saying something first wouldn't be appropriate. Just as I was about to break the stream of silence, she asked me, 'Then what am I doing here?'

I was unprepared for a question like this. 'Uhh, that's the thing. You shouldn't be here.'

I had no idea what to do. The Power had set up a search party to look for her. She's a wanted human, and yet she sat right in front of me. I have to bring her to The Power. But for some reason, I didn't want to. I needed to keep her away from him at all costs.

I grabbed her wrist again, and this time she didn't try to escape. 'Follow me.'

There was no struggling this time. She listened to me. 'Look, I'm gonna bring you to my dorm, and I'll explain everything there.'

It must've been the shock, or the confusion, but she simple followed my instructions. I had no plan. I had no idea who or what she was, but what I knew for sure: she wasn't normal.

I slowly opened the door, relieved to be met with an empty hallway. She had her hand in mine, and I led her out carefully, gesturing for her to not make any noise. We crept down to the right together, making our way to my dorm.

Everything went smoothly. Too smoothly. And when we heard the chattering of Ghostles right as we were about to enter the dorm building, I knew right at that moment that we were done for.

They appeared right around the corner and I was face to face with 5 Ghostles. 'Heyyy guys' I said nervously.

'Jungkook.' One hissed, 'What are you doing here?'

'Look, I know what you're thinking, but listen, this girl isn't who you think she is!'

They tilted their heads, although I couldn't actually see them. I could tell they were confused. 'What girl? You got a girlfriend?'

'What! No!' I paused, 'You think I can't get a girlfriend?' I was getting distracted. They laughed at me.

'Listen! This girl,' I motioned to Momo, but she was gone.
