Momo abruptly opened her eyes, and what she saw was the most frightening thing she had ever seen. A creature sat in front of her - holding her hand - whilst giving her the most grotesque smile possible. It's red skin, which, looked as though it had walked into a fire, stood out the most. All its other features appeared to be normal, except for the fact that it was way larger than a normal person; at least 10 feet tall.
Momo swiftly retracted her hand, hiding it behind her. The creature looked taken aback, offended, almost. 'My queen, what is the matter?' It questioned.
'QUEEN?' Momo yelled. She sat atop a throne much like the creature was sitting on, but smaller.
'Dear, don't you remember me?'
Momo scanned him, and although she felt he looked somewhat familiar, she dared not believe it. 'No! I don't know who you are!' She stood up to leave, but was unable to. She had only just realized that chains had been looped around her wrists and ankles, attaching her to the chair.
'Why- who- get me off!' She struggled, but simply was not strong enough to lift herself off.
'I'm afraid not, dear. There's no escaping this time.' The Power boomed. He looked down at Momo with a disappointed look, but smirked, satisfied that she was stuck.
'Do you know how distraught I was when you had left me? Had you ever thought about it?' He had gotten up by now, circling Momo's chair, 'The day you left me was the worst day of my life.'
Momo was still struggling. 'I don't even know what you're talking about!'
'Quiet!' The Power demanded, not even having to raise his voice to get everyone to listen. He lifted Momo's chin to look at him, but she kept her eyes facing down, trying to get her head out of his grip. 'How I missed your lovely face.'
'For years I had been dwelling on the past, wondering, when, if ever, you would come back to me.'
'WHO ARE Y-'
'I SAID QUIET!' The Power glared at her, drowning her in silence, her words caught in her throat, 'But it was clear to me, you were not coming back. I had to take matters into my own hands.'
The chains were tightening their grips around Momo's wrists and ankles - they were sure to leave marks and bruises. She could feel them on her bones, the pain slowly coursing through her body.
'So I sent out one of my servants to get you. To scare you. To get you back here. I chose the one person who I knew wouldn't bother with you! Who wouldn't be interested in you! BUT I WAS WRONG!'
The chains tightened even more. Momo winced in pain. The more angry the Power got, the more the chains tightened.
'But it doesn't matter now. I have you here. Whatever that- that boy,' It seemed he was having trouble saying the boy's name, his teeth gritting, 'Jungkook.' He finally said it. A silence filled the room.
Momo looked up. What did this have to do with Jungkook?
'Oh, how I will never trust him again. He will face the worst of punishments, for betraying my trust, for disobeying my orders-'
'You can't punish Jungkook!' A sudden cry escaped Momo's mouth, and she looked up at the Power, disheveled. 'You can't!'
The Power turned to face her. He looked like he was about to explode. But he kept his patience, his gaze stinging Momo's skin. 'And why is that, my dear?'
Momo flinched whenever he referred to her as 'dear'. 'He- he helped me. He's- he-'
'I know he's been helping you. And he shouldn't have.' The Power cut her off, and she was at a clear loss for words. 'He will pay for doing so, for only delaying your return to me.'
'I LOVE HIM!'
Silence. The Power was taken aback. The two Meeklings that were guarding the entrance couldn't help but eavesdrop. It was so quiet you would hear a pin drop.
'Y-You WHAT?' The Power marched towards her, standing right in front of her, no space separating them, and Momo cowered in fear, falling in her seat.
Momo suddenly lost all her confidence. 'I-I said I l-love him.' Although Momo had said this to simply distract the Power, and with no sincerity to it, something inside her was telling herself that, what she had just said, had a sense of truth to it.
'Really? Is that so?' The Power sneered, not breaking eye contact for even a single second. He gestured toward the Meeklings, 'Bring him out.'
The Meeklings who had stood at the entrance suddenly scurried off. The Power was smirking, and Momo knew, whatever was about to happen, was not going to be good.
A few moments later, the Meeklings had reappeared at the entrance; this time with someone in between. Jungkook.
They were dragging Jungkook, each holding onto an arm, as it seemed he didn't have the energy to walk himself. He was bruised in many places: his arms, his legs, his face. His lip was bleeding in the corner.
'Jungkook!' Momo cried. Yet again she was unable to run up to him, restricted to her throne by the chains that kept her at bay. At the sound of her voice, Jungkook looked up, and his eyes met hers.
He suddenly received a wave of energy as he lifted himself up, although the Meeklings kept firm grips on his arms. 'Momo! Loo-'
The Power let out a shrill cackle, the noise bouncing off the walls. A silence filled the room for a few seconds, before the Power continued, 'So here he is, Momo. The person you love.'
Jungkook's eyes widened.
'And what you're about to witness. Oh boy, you're not going to like it.'
