Chapter 5

~Zoie's POV~
"Where's my baby?" Gabbie screeched excitedly as she walked in. I handed Lavender to her and she started showering her in kisses.
"I'll go help Jack with the bags." Daniel said as he kissed my head. Gabbie and I went and sat on the couch.
"How was your trip?" I asked.
"Fun. But I missed my baby." She said.
"How was a few days with Daniel?"
"It was really nice. I don't know if we're official yet though."
"You're insane dude. He's head over heels for you."
"We met our new neighbor."
"Oh? How is she?"
"She's very friendly." I chuckled slightly. Then Daniel and Jack walked back in.
"Oh my gosh that girl is all over Daniel." Jack said.
"Shut up no she isn't." Daniel laughed.
"Who's all over Daniel?" Gabi asked, sensing my concern.
"Our new neighbor. She came over to talk while we were out there." Jack explained.
"She's pretty." I said as I washed another dish.
"Thanks Jack really helpful." Daniel scoffed at him as he came up to me and hugged me from behind.
"She is nothing to worry about." He whispered in my ear. I just laid my head on top of his as I continued to wash dishes. Jack and Gabbie has left the room with Lavender at this point so it was just Daniel and I. He began kissing my neck and playing with my hands.
"EW MY EYES!" We heard Jack yell.
"Don't make a baby they're hard and expensive." Gabbie said with a binkie in her mouth.
~Daniel's POV~
The next day, the guys and I had a show in LA. It was an hour and a half drive without traffic so we got up at 6 am to leave at 8am.
"Gabbie what do you need me to grab?" Zoie asked as I walked into Lavender's nursery.
"Her pack and play please!" Gabbie shouted back from her room where she was changing Lav's diaper.
"Babe can you grab a pack of wipes and throw it in the bag over there?" Zoie asked me.
"Yeah! Where's Jack?" I asked.
"Making a bottle for her and packing her formula." Gabbie replied. Once we had all of Lavender's stuff ready we went downstairs and loaded it all up.
"Did you get your guitar?" Zoie questioned.
"Crap!" I replied turning away to run back inside. After I got upstairs and started packing my guitar up, Zoie cape upstairs too.
"Don't forget strings. I'll get your cello."
"Woah that's too heavy hun. If you'll finish this I'll go get my cello." I offered. So she started doing that while I went to get my cello. Once everyone was in the van and ready to go, we headed out. Everyone was still in their pjs because we were gonna change at the venue. In the van, Zoie was leaning against me with her head on my shoulder as we watched Tik Toks.

By the time we got to the venue, Zoie had fallen asleep.
"Zo, we're here." I told her as I rubbed her leg to wake her up. She sighed a little and sat up.
"Did you bring a hoodie?" She asked me. I began to take mine off.
"Nono, I meant an extra one." She said as she stopped me.
"No, you can have this one. I don't want it anyways." I shrugged as I took it off and put it on her. And smiled as she put the hood up and got out of the van. I got out in front of her and helped her out and we headed inside the venue.  When we got inside, Gabbie and Zoie headed to get ready.
~Zoie's POV~
Gabbie and I found the largest bathroom in the venue and started to get ready. I locked the door and changed into my favorite distressed jeans, and olive green top. I put on some flip flops for the time being just so I wasn't barefoot. Gabbie had already plugged in my curling iron so I started doing my makeup. She set an alarm on her phone so we knew when the boys started sound check and we had to go get Lavender. After about an hour we were done getting ready so we went back to the green room.
"Zip it up boys we're coming in." Gabbie said as we walked into their dressing room. Lavender was crying and Jack was trying to soothe her.
"You have any ideas of what you want to do today?" Daniel asked me.
"How much time will we have?" I questioned.
"About two hours give or take."
"Wanna go to a mall?"
"Sure- we can."
"Oh! Guys, Tate is coming today." Jonah reminded us.
"Oh yay! I love Tate!" Gabbie exclaimed.
"Sound check time boys." Their manager told them. Daniel kissed my head and left with the rest of the guys. Gabbie sat down to feed Lavender and I scrolled through Instagram. After about 15 minutes, Daniel texted me.
D- Hey, we're short crew. Can you come help?
So I told Gabbie what was up and headed to the stage.
"I'm here." I said when I got to where they were.
"Thank God. Okay, do you know how to work a sound board?" Their manager, Dave, asked me.
"Yeah I majored in music production and minored in music management in college."
"Perfect! I need you on sound board." He told me. I gave them a thumbs up, they gave me a walkie-talkie and I went to the sound board.

After sound check, Daniel came over to the sound board.
"You good to work this for the show tonight?" He asked.
"Yeah!" I nodded.
"Boys you have three hours to roam. Update me on your locations every hour via group chat." Dave told them. They all have a thumbs up and I set alarms on my phone for Daniel.
