Risk It All

Chapter 20

~Zoie's POV~
The next day it was time for us to fly home. Timēna drove us to the airport and helped us get our bags checked.
"You need to come visit us soon!" I told her as we hugged.
"Gladly! Maybe I'll be able to come for the girls birthday." She replied, tickling Emory.
"I'm gonna go get started with TSA while you two say goodbye." I told KJ. He nodded and I pushed the girls towards the TSA line in their stroller. After a couple minutes, he caught up with us. He came up beside me and put his hand on the small of my back as he put his hood up.
"I had fun." I told him.
"I did too. I'm very tired though."
"Luckily the girls will sleep the whole way."
"Don't jinx it!" He gasped. I chuckled as we got to the front of the TSA line. KJ held Emory and I held Raleigh as we went through the body scanner. Once we were through, we sat down at our gate.

When we got back to LA, KJ called Cole to have him pick us up.
"He'll be here momentarily." He told me.
"Sounds good." I yawned. The girls were in their stroller and KJ stood at baggage claim waiting for our luggage. Once we had our bags, we stood out front waiting for Cole. It wasn't long before he pulled up.
"Hey man!" Cole said as he got out and hugged KJ.
"Hey dude." KJ chuckled.
"Zoie, always good to see you."
"You too, Cole." I smiled back. The guys buckled the girls seats in as I unbuckled them from their stroller. I handed Raleigh to KJ and Emory to Cole before I started loading our bags.

When we got home, we thanked Cole and unloaded before going inside. Once we got settled, I got a text from Gabbie.
G- Hey!!! Got a minute?
Z- Yeah! Whats up?
G- have you heard the boys' new song yet?
Z- No?
G- Okay. Don't listen to it around KJ
Z- What? Why?
G- Daniel wrote and produced it. I think it might be about you. I could be wrong so don't quote me but just my thoughts
Z- I have to bring the girls over later today. Can we grab a quick coffee when I do?
G- Definitely! Love you! Lmk what time.
I put my phone away and sat down by KJ. The girls were asleep in their cribs so we were enjoying some quiet time. We turned on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

After a while, it was time to take the girls to Daniel. KJ was staying home since I was going out with Gabi after.
"Hey! How was your trip?" Daniel asked when I pulled up.
"It was fun! KJ's family is awesome." I replied as I got Emory out. Daniel got Raleigh out and we went inside.
"I missed my little girls!" He said as we sat down and got them out.
"They're thinking about crawling now. If they crawl you have to video it. I don't want to miss it." I told him.
"Yeah, no problem." The nodded.
"Zoie!" Gabi exclaimed as she came down the stairs.
"Hey!" I smiled as we hugged.
"You ready?"
"Yep." I agreed.
"Where y'all goin?" Daniel asked.
"Grab a coffee." Gabi shrugged. With that, I kissed the girls goodbye and we headed out.

When we got to the coffee shop, we got our coffee and sat down.
"So what's up?" I asked.
"Oh yes! Okay, so. They released Chills. Here, listen." She told me as she handed me an AirPod.
"This could easily be about anybody." I shrugged after listening to it.
"Zoie. C'mon. Daniel wrote it. And he always told you he gave you chills."
"Even if it is about me, nothing's changing. I'm in love with KJ. I love Daniel as the father of my kids but we would never work again."
