A week had passed, more prisoners came, but no rescuers or guards. Except for one day, a guard decided to drop by.

"I'm Romelle, you'll need to eat if you want to survive." The guard (Romelle) said. Romelle placed a space cow thigh in the cage. It was big, and juicy. Perhaps Red should take a bite. But instantly she thought of how wicked poisons could be crawling all over the meat.

Red growled, her tail flicked and she bared her teeth.

"It's not poisoned, by the way." Romelle claimed.

It was a typical thought, perhaps. Romelle probably heard every prisoner ask about it. But then again, Red was sure every prisoner wasn't fed properly. Red decided to hiss at Romelle. She would have to trust Romelle.

"Just eat it" Sapphira complained

With a single breath, Red had cooked the meat with her fire abilities. She gave it back to Romelle.

Give it to Sapphira and Lotor, they'll need it more than I would, Red ordered, sinking to the back of the cell.

"If you say so." Romelle replied, putting the meat in the cell opposite Red's.

They split the meat in two, and Sapphira ate it gladly. But to Red's surprise, Lotor did not.

"Romelle." He called.

"Yes, Emperor Lotor?" Romelle replied, clearly glad that she was called upon to do her duty.

"I insist you give this meat to the Red Tigeress." Lotor ordered.

"But she-"

"Just do it"

"Yes sir."

So half of the meat was given back to Red. She ate it, but not without constantly arguing about it.

"I think I'm going to get some food goo." Allura said, walking towards the machine.

"But Princess, we just ate breakfast." Coran stated.

"I-" Allura tried to explain.

"Are you okay, Allura?" Amethyst asked, sitting next to Allura on a stool.

"Yes, I am okay. I'm just tired and hungry." Allura claimed.

She was unsure if she really was. This whole 'soulmate' thing had really messed with her.

You're calm, content. No strong emotions currently, a voice said

"What was that?" Coran asked, perkiness faltering out of his voice.

"Who are you?" Allura asked the voice mentally. She tried reaching out to the voice and unfolding all it's secrets. But her alchemy was not strong enough.

I am the Pink Tigeress, the voice responded

It made more sense now. The voice was her guidance, her anchor, her wings-

Your robotic space cat, Pink interrupted.

Allura let out a light hearted laugh. It felt good to laugh. To let all the confusion and stress of the war just fade away.

"Shall we continue planning our search for our team members?"
