This was it today was the day that you were going to tell Near that you liked him. You were always friends with him ever since you came to Wammy's it was only a matter of time in till you feel in love with him you loved everything about him how smart he was,his hair, and even his love for toys. You had been making him present all week and you worked very hard on it. It was a toy robot you made it out of spare parts "that you found" you we're pretty smart and good at getting the tools that you need without anyone knowing. If I give him this he can't possibly reject me you thought you made your way to Near's room when Matt and Mello came running the hall goofing around and that's when it happened. Mello had bumped into you causing you fall and drop the toy robot on the hard ground . You saw your hard work on the ground one of the arms had fallen off tears started to fall from your (eye color) eyes Mello tried to apologize to you but you ran away crying.
Near saw what had happened and picked up the broken toy he went to his room and tapped the broken arm together and ran to the direction where you went. You were outside under a giant tree sobbing he tapped you on the shoulder "(y/n) don't cry I fixed it " he handed you the robot you sniffed and handed it back " I made it for you" you said he looked at it and smiled "I love it but why did you make it for me?" He asked "because I thought it would make you like me" you buried your head in between your legs and hide your face it was silent for a second "but I already like you" he said while twisting his hair "really?!" You hugged him " yes I do, I want to be you to mine forever " he said you looked up at him the once pale boy turned a shade of pink you held on to him and kissed him and from that point on you two were inseparable
Couple of years later
Near spined in his chair thinking about the investigation he had to find who Kira was for L and the world but more importantly he looked down in his hands was a toy robot with taped up arm and on his desk of a photo of him and a girl with (hair color) hair and (eye color) eyes . More importantly he had to catch Kira to protect (y/n) to make sure she is safe and to go home to be with her forever
