Dear diary,
sorry i haven't written in a while. iv'e been busy with things. you are all probably wondering about what happened at the thing with the Girl Scouts. well, turns out that we went to a Planetarium, it was so awesome :). after that we went over to the giant telescope, you could see Jupiter! all the girls were cute and cocky. everyone thinks im a visco girl, but i don't do the skk skk thing. well...sometimes... they were very fun to work with.
NOW! talking about today! i went out with them again, and we went tree climbing! not your typical day-to-day activity am i right? and you would not want to do this type of tree climbing everyday, it would severely impact your circulation in a negative way. this tree climbing they made you put on a bulky harness and a helmet. they had a rope up in the tree, wrapped around a big branch high up. they showed you how to get up, it was actually pretty crafty i have to admit. when i was hooked up to the rope and was allowed to get started, it was alot more hard and painful than i anticipated. you know in rock climbing, those harnesses? these were similar, but it had pads on the back so you could sit down on branches and the straps were WAY thicker. so they cut into your skin where you don't want them to. i got up the two lowest branches in about 25 minuets, they were 15 feet above the ground. i sat down on the branch and waited for the girl Abby. i heard her mumbling, "don't look down, don't look down." she sat down on the branch and we talked about random stuff. after that we went a bit higher. i wanted to see how it felt to swing out of the tree and back, like Tarzan. so i pushed off the tree and it literally felt like i was flying. we got down a hour later and as soon as i got the harnesses off, i felt free. i drove some of the kids home after that. im surprised that they had energy after that. to calm them down, i put Toy Story 3 into the movie player. that shut them up...mostly. when they got to the Spanish buzz part with Jessie, they flipped out. especially the Garbage truck scene. when Buzz was carrying Jessie dramatically and they were looking at each other. all the girls were clapping very loudly and Abby was saying, "BRAVO!! BRAVVO! ENCORE!!" another girl added, "it's all in the facial expressions." "it's true." i said. "sure." another one said. "trust me." i said. later during the end credits when Buzz and Jessie were about to do the Tango, and when Jessie said, "just go with it Buzz." all the kids were like , "OOOOOOO!!"
that's all i got for you guys so far. update on the universal trip, it's official now and we are going during Halloween Horror Nights. >:) though i hate usually getting scared, but this is different. one: i wont be alone, two: it's Dennis's birthday. eep! can't wait!!
i am now at a loss for words for some reason,
Ericka
