Dear diary,

Welp, I cut my hand...three times. -sigh- WHY AM I SO CLUMSY?! I missed placing my dinner dish on the counter and it shattered on the floor in front of me while everybody else was still sitting at the table. And they all looked over at me. It was so embarrassing. >-< And the dish managed to cut my hand on its way down to the floor. I think I shoved the dish into the side of the counter, making it shatter onto the floor and cut my hand several times.

-Story time-

"I think black people need to be treated as equals because they don't deserve the hate that is being thrown at them." Griffin said out of the blue to us as we ate dinner. Drac looked up at him and finished chewing,

"What?"

"Do you know about all of the protests going on right now?" Griffin asked.

"What protests?" I asked, oblivious to the world because I don't pay attention to the news whenever it comes on.

"About racial inequality." Griffin said, slurping some noodles.

"I didn't know that." I said, eating some more noodles.

"Griffin we don't watch the news." Drac said.

"But you should!" Griffin said back, "Mavis watches the news, right Mavis?" Mavis looked up from her pasta and shrugged and went back to eating. They started to talk about the protests and George Floyd and I had just finished eating. I got up and walked to the kitchen as they continued to talk. I was listening about what they were talking about and instinctively reached my hand out to put my dish on the counter. But I missed by about an inch and I stumbled forward and the dish smashed into the counter and fell to the floor. Everybody looked at me and I flushed bright pink,

"Well that's broken now." I said, trying to lighten the mood.

"Honey are you ok?!" Drac asked, panic dripping from his voice as he leaped out of his chair and ran into the kitchen. He stopped when he saw the broken dish everywhere on the ground. And of course, I was barefoot. He went to get my shoes and I hopped into them. I felt a burning sensation on my left hand and went to look at it. Blood was slowly oozing out of three little cuts on my hand. "That looks bad." Drac said, grabbing my hand and inspecting it.

"It's just a little cut," I said, adding the last part with a little sarcasm, "i'll live." He and the others helped pick up the broken dish and Drac got me a wet paper towel and I pressed it up against my cuts. It hurt but it was going to stop the bleeding. I disinfected it and now I can't hold anything with that hand.

Life is going great! (sarcastic)

clumsy,

Ericka
