Drawing Emily's long hair is usually fun, but when it comes to the coloring and shading of her long, long, ombré hair (you can see her portrait above), I get a little exhausted. 😂 Coloring and shading her hair takes a good forty minutes every time, just because trying to incorporate that pink ombré with her blonde shading gets difficult.

How do I fix this problem, you ask?

Well, to cut my coloring time like half an hour shorter, I can give Emily a haircut!

Unfortunately, this is a rough sketch of how she'd react to getting her hair cut. 😂

So, to keep my character feeling like herself, she gets to keep her long, time-consuming, pink ombré hair! 🌸❤️

And so if I end up not putting as much detail in her hair when it comes to comics about Emily and her twin sister, it's probably because I didn't feel like spending forty minutes on the tedious shading and blending of blonde highlights, blonde shadows, pink shadows, and pink highlights 😂😂

She's my favorite original character, even though she's dramatic as heck, so I'll keep doing it! 🌸
