When Henry, Macklemore, and Mackenzie got back to the van, they were greeted with awkward silence and staring.
Henry held up the key. A mass of cheers erupted. Even Mackoy gave him a warm smile.
"We still gotta test the kid out." Mackoy reminded them.
"As if that wasn't a test enough." Macklemore scoffs under his breath.
Mackie punches Macklemore's arm. "You know why we have to do this."
Henry's eyes darted between them, as they argued. He was starting to sweat from the jacket, and the stress of having all these eyes on him. He whined a little.
"You're stressing the kid." Mackenzie huffed.
They stopped talking promptly, but exchanged knowing glances.
They were gonna have to put Henry through the wringer.
