finn's pov
im really glad i asked her out.

i don't know why i stopped talking to her.

i pull up to her house, and there she is.

she's so beautiful.

she smiles and gets in the car.

"hey,y/n."

"h-hi."

she was nervous.

i could tell.

"hey, what's wrong?"

"nothing."

she said, taking a deep breath and sitting up straight.

i smile and start the car.

we arrive at our local diner and i get out of the car to open her door.

"m'lady." i say, bowing down to her.

she chuckles and we walk inside.

we sit down at a booth and look at our menus.

i look up from mine.

"she's so damn cute." i think to myself.

she looks up and smiles at me.

our food comes and we catch up.

her life is kind of horrible.

all because of my "friends"

i genuinely like her, and forget about the dare.

i look outside to see a familiar car pull up.

holy fucking shit.

it's them.

the door opens and a bunch of guys come inside.

they walk over to our booth and i recognize them.

oh no.

it's his stupid friends.

why are they here?

he's totally playing me!

"hey what's up wolfhard! i see you didn't bail like a pussy."

one of the boys say.

"what?" i said, trying to look confused

"you really think he actually likes you?"

"what?" i say.

"it was all a dare bitch." another boy says.

finn looks at me.

ashamed.

with tears forming in my eyes, i walk out of the diner and hear finn call my name.

"y/n! wait!"

he grabs my arm and i turn around.

"oh shut up! stop trying to make your stupid joke last longer! i get its, nobody likes me and nobody ever will."

"that's not true! i like you y/n! fuck! i love you! please trust me."

his friends come out of the diner and one of them say, "you can't be serious finn, she's ugly as hell!"

finn turned around and punched the boy.

next thing you know, it's a whole fist fight between the four boys.

i break them up and finn starts screaming.

"YOU GUYS ARE ASSHOLES! I AM SICK OF BEING PUSHED AROUND BY YOU GIYS! Y/N IS BEAUTIFUL! ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS! AND YOU DONT SEE THAT BECAUSE ALL YOU'RE INTO, IS WHAT YOU SEE IN MAGAZINES!"

"finn, just calm dow- no y/n. after you told me about what you've gone through, i will not rest until i know you feel safe and happy!"

i calmed him down and we sat in his car.

"i'm sorry y/n, you didn't deserve that."

i cup his soft cheeks and say, "it's okay finn. thanks for looking out for me."

he smiles.

"Let's go to my place, you need to be cleaned up."

"okay.."

he chuckles and starts the car.

we arrive at my house and go straight to the bathroom.

he sits on the counter and i take out some rubbing alcohol and a cotton pad.

i start cleaning his wounds and he winces.

after i finish we stare into each other's eyes.

in comfortable silence.

he cups my cheek and leans in.

i lean in too.

our lips touch and move in sync.

i pull away and smile.

"i love you y/n l/n."
