When standards of beauty changed so drastically that everyone wore masks to hide their faces.
Standards were so high that no one even knew what the 'perfect face' was anymore.
If you asked someone if your beautiful even they wouldn't know.

It was normal to walk around the city and see masks covering the appearance of another. It was banned in Korea that you are unable to take it off in public.
It's considered basic knowledge that beauty was something no one conveyed. It was ingrained in the minds of adults that there is no beauty in this world and they taught that to their children.
Jungkook lived his life hiding away in a mask because that's what he's told. But he didn't believe that the world was a ugly as they say. That people are monstrous to look at.
He believed that if every single person was to take off their mask that people can see that they truly are beautiful inside and out.
He was apart of a small community within Seoul who had the same beliefs as him. They gathered together to speak about the beauty in everything.
There community was only growing bigger as days past. One day, alone city boy comes across a flyer,
"Beauty is within all, outside all."
But what had that really meant? The city boy only knew that group as the cause of chaos and destruction. The people who defy the governments policy.
He himself never understood the policy, but his father always told him to abide by the rules, and to not do anything foolish.
He never thought he had a say in the things he did. He constantly felt he did things for others. But a sense of curiosity hit him.
"What if they're right?"
He had come to make his own choices now. He tries to learn what he can do for himself. He can understand the politics of things on his own accord.
