When standards of beauty changed so drastically that everyone wore masks to hide their faces.
Standards were so high that no one even knew what the 'perfect face' was anymore.
If you asked someone if your beautiful even they wouldn't know.

Jungkook gave the text to all the members that today would be the day that he'd be going to the radio station, he had a friend who works there and hopefully will still be working there when Jungkook's done his little announcement.
no one knew how it would end, totally horrible, or absolutely in their favor. There wasn't really much of an option for an in between, or at least they didn't think there was one. Taehyung decided that he would come but wouldn't do any of the talking and that was completely fine with Jungkook because in all honesty he was scared shitless and any company and support was enough for him.
He was glad that there was someone present with him, and as the radio spokesperson was talking between the commercial times, caused Jungkook's palms to sweat in anticipation. He wasn't sure when he was going on but every music break he was never ready to go in and say his peace. His body started to tense up and his blood ran cold, he stared at the men on the other side of the glass wall, just waiting until they would tell him to come in.
Maybe Taehyung could feel the tension in the air but he went over to Jungkook and squeezed his shoulders giving him a slight back massage, and Jungkook turned his head and smiled at Taehyung's attempt to calm his nerves.
How hard could it be? They'll give him a couple of minutes, but surely they didn't know what he'd talk about. This was a big deal in the eyes of Jungkook, he's publicly announcing his political views on the government policies, no one dares to say anything out loud but in both ways, it has its benefits and downfalls but he seemed to be exposed more to the faults of it.
When one of the men gestured him to come in Jungkook was a hot mess looking to Taehyung for any guidance but he shooed him into the room where he sat down in front of a mic.
"My boy Danny says you have a special message for us this morning, care to introduce yourself?"
"I'm Jeon J and that's as far as I'll say for my identity for security reasons... I'm well aware rules are to be followed but um- The issue of self-harm has been a very disclosed topic as well as mental health. I've witnessed first hand, that the mask create insecurities which led to high statistics on these topics, people disregard these real information and I don't believe that this is how the world was made to be. Prejudice goes for anything, you can't change everything or else we'd be just a screen and a voice and simply your voice can be judged upon. Why do we need masks? I want everyone to pause and think, do we need masks? The world may be cruel sometimes but did we harm ourselves even more by using masks? Mask be gone society does not believe in the mask, others aren't the problem anymore, this is because the mask creates the problem within ourselves." Jungkook made a pause in his speech as he took a moment to hear his racing heart, " Thank you for listening and feel free to check out our posters and join our cause."
while Taehyung was smiling on the other side of the glass, he saw one of the men go on the intercom which he sadly overheard them call security.
A lady working there gestured her hand to cross over her neck to tell them to stop the radio, and two tall bulky men came into the rooms the guests were in and grabbed both Jungkook and Taehyung by the forearm and escorted them out of the building. Both males did not give any resistance, in some ways they were already prepared for the worse and now they were left on the streets.
They both spare glances at one another but Taehyung went up to Jungkook and pulled him into a hug, "Hey, you did it."
Taehyung didn't feel hands wrap around him, he instead felt Jungkook's body shake. Little did he know a million and one thoughts rushed through the younger's head and unfortunately most of them were negative.
Jungkook sulked thinking that no one would take him seriously, which was his worst fear at that moment, that everyone will take him as the young fool who didn't understand the dynamics of what he was talking about. He thinks back to what he said and criticized himself for not saying more, or how he could of worded things differently to be more upfront and professional with his speech.
But there was no changing what he said, was he to forward and informal? He didn't know and he kept on thinking that everyone thought of him as a fool. He got so much into his head that his physical body shed tears while his head was to preoccupied.
Did he do enough? Did he say enough?
He hoped so, because what other radio station would give him another shot?
"Hey Jungkook."Taehyung pulled back from the hug and saw the other males eyes glued onto the floor, "look at me." even while asking Jungkook couldn't muster up the ability to look into his eyes.
So Taehyung's solution was to crouch down on knees and look up at the floor gazing male. slightly holding onto Jungkook's wrist, he finally saw his face with watery eyes and a nose that was slightly on the red side.
"You did great there. You did exactly what you wanted. You won't get results right away but we'll know sooner or later. " He tried being sincere, and earned a groaned from the crying boy as he tilted his head towards the sky, "I know, I'm just scared." he sighed out as Taehyung brought himself back up from the ground, he looked at Jungkook as he continued to stare at the blue sky.
Hello it's me again, so I'm back onto writing this story and I was wondering if the pacing is alright? I don't know if this progressing to fast but within the next couple of chapters I want to get in some character development from the side characters, it's mainly the Jungkook and Taehyung show so I need to take a step back so you can see perspectives of the other people. Please continue to vote and comment because I like being able to see how others react :)
