When standards of beauty changed so drastically that everyone wore masks to hide their faces.
Standards were so high that no one even knew what the 'perfect face' was anymore.
If you asked someone if your beautiful even they wouldn't know.
"Jungk...

"Pardon?!" Jungkook was shocked at the sudden request.
"Can I stay for the night?" Taehyung reiterated the question while scratching the back of his head.
Jungkook thought for a moment, not knowing what the context of his phone conversation might of been. That fact aside, he barely knew Taehyung very well. But yet, he already invited him to his house. What's the difference if he spent the night as well.
"Sure." He came to the conclusion. If Taehyung had a lifestyle anywhere near the same as his, he knows how he wouldn't want be home sometimes.
Jungkook never had people over at his house. So he didn't know how to treat company. He awkwardly put his drink away when they finished. "Do you want to watch a movie or something?" He suggested.
"Ugh, sure." Taehyung replies as Jungkook lead the way to his couch where they sat on the polar ends the couch. The room was dark, only lit up with the light from the t.v screen. They both restlessly moved around on the couch, finally positioning themselves by putting an arm of the armrests.
Jungkook grabbed the remote and started flipping through channels. (A/n NAHHH IF YOU THOUGHT IMMA SAY THEY GO ON NETFLIX!! Guess the shows or show if you know one.)
'Are you ready kids!? Ay-' Jungkook passed by that channel,
'The weather today is going to be a 70% chance of precipi-' passed that channel as well.
Jungkook felt anxious trying to find a show to watch stopping at a random channel and letting it play he looked over to Taehyung. "do you have anything in particular you want to watch?"
"Nope." With that response Jungkook wanted to roll his eyes. It had only made this more difficult for himself to find something. When Jungkook was thinking about the good channels to go on, Taehyung was paying attention to the movie that was playing and Jungkook didn't pay attention until he heard a specific line.
'So, like I said, I'm just like you. I have a totally perfectly normal life. Except I have one huge-ass secret. Nobody knows I'm gay.' Taehyung bit the inside of his cheeks trying not to laugh. Jungkook had his mask off so Taehyung was able to see the tinge of red that was shown on his face.
Taehyung who still had his mask on, was lucky to have his on. As if Jungkook looked at him surely he would be more embarrassed than he already was. To cut the hassle of trying to watch something and then for the duration of the movie have to sit in pure awkwardness, he saved them the trouble.
"Actually, is it alright if I prepare for bed now?"
Jungkook with hotness rising to his ears he looked over to Taehyung "Ugh- yeah. Yeah sure!"frantically getting up from his seat he tossed his head side to side, looking for the remote.
Realizing it was in his hand the whole time. He closed the T.v figuring his way through the dark to the bedroom when he opened the door he knew Taehyung wasn't behind him.
Another thought was brought up to Jungkook's attention,
Taehyung can't see.
Of course he couldn't, how could he when it was not only dark but also his first time being in his house. Jungkook went to turn on the bedroom light, which was enough light so that Taehyung could make his way to the same room.
Jungkook grabbed an extra blanket and pillow and placed it beside his bed.
"Do you want to borrow clothes for sleeping?"
"Yeah, sure." Jungkook went and grabbed a pair of black shorts and black t-shirt that was 3 sizes too big. But Jungkook never liked to wear fitted clothes, as even now he was wearing a baggy shirt for the sole purpose because it was comfortable.
When Taehyung received the clothes, Jungkook turned on the hallway light and told Taehyung where the bathroom had been. Taehyung who got changed looked in the mirror to see how the shirt hung loosely showing his collarbone.
"He's not even taller than me. We look the same height yet this shirt is so long..." he spoke to his reflection. Brushing off his own comment he puts his hands through his hair as he walked into Jungkook's bedroom.
Without thinking much he opened the door to see Jungkook's half naked body from behind seeing the toned muscles on his back and downwards his small waist. Taehyung would be noticeably drooling if it wasn't for his mask covering his face.
Jungkook's senses perked and turned over to look at Taehyung, putting his shirt over his head and letting the material fall down his chest.
But it was a glimpse of time where Taehyung got to see the prominent lines indicating Jungkook's abs. Becoming self-conscious of his belly he gulped.
"It fits-ish." Jungkook tilted his head , smiling out of habit.
"I guess." He shrugged his shoulders.
Jungkook could never understand how Taehyung was feeling he always seemed monotoned and uninterested. That was another thing with masks. He could never truly know how someone was feeling. their tone can be one thing yet their facial expression could say another.
Since it's his home he freely wore no mask. Hoping at least one of these days Taehyung would warm up to him to the idea of no mask.
He thought for a moment. Wondering if he was one of those types of people to sleep with one on. Going onto another topic Jungkook sat down on the floor setting the blankets and pillow speaking above the trickling sound from the outside "You can sleep on the bed."
"But it's your-" "I insist." If Jungkook was having a guest over, he felt it wouldn't be very polite to make them sleep on the floor. So as an accommodation for his lack of beds he decided to let Taehyung use his.
Jungkook went to shut the lights as Taehyung got under the sheets of the bed.
Jungkook going back to his position on the floor, he was going to tell Taehyung he could take off his mask if it's uncomfortable in bed when Taehyung instead, started to speak.
"Don't look." Jungkook was already looking the opposite way as he saw the rain pouring harder. Obliging to Taehyung's request.
Jungkook heard the slight clink of noise as the mask hit his wooden table.
"Can I look?" "Please not... not yet." Jungkook nodded his head as his head rubbed against his pillow.
Taehyung faces towards Jungkook's back that was looking towards the window. Seeing a flash a lighting visible on the other side of the glass. It felt relaxing to the ears of the rain falling onto the frame. It made it a calming night.
Taehyung wasn't used to hearing the sounds of nature's rain but hearing it now made him feel a sense of tranquility.
"Are you afraid of criticism?" Jungkook said lowly under his breath.
Breaking Taehyung's peaceful state, he comes to think about the question with a sensible reply and the only thing he said was,
