No One's POV
Mark was currently running to his next class as he had accidentally not been paying attention to the time and stayed at a nearby park for way too long. He hated how big this college was compared to his old high school, especially since his classes were so far away from the entrance.
As expected by Mark's clumsiness, he had collided shoulders with someone, causing them to drop their coffee on the floor.
Shit! Mark thought, hoping none of the hot beverage spilled on the person he just bumped into.
"Hey!" Someone outraged, their voice unusually familiar. "Wait— Mark is that you?" The familiar voice softened, sounding way less vicious than before.
Mark then looked up at who he had bumped into, it was Kim Doyoung. Mark remembered Doyoung from high school, he was one of Jeno's close friends as well as Johnny's. Mark smiled nervously up at him and waved.
"Yeah, it's me." He said. "Sorry about your coffee..."
Doyoung placed his hands on his hips. "It's fine, but only if you get me a new one after your classes end."
"My classes end at noon." Mark said, as if it would somehow mean that he didn't have to spend any of his money on Doyoung's new coffee.
"And? So do mine." Doyoung says, raising his eyebrow.
"Right." Mark mumbled.
"So, I'll be seeing you after classes at the campus gate." Doyoung said what was supposed to be a question but came out as more of a demand.
"Yeah..." Mark said.
Doyoung smiled. "Okay, see you!"
Mark watched as Doyoung picked up the empty cup of coffee and then notified a nearby custodian of the sticky liquid on the floor. The old woman thanked him and he smiled at her and walked away.
Mark smiled, knowing that Doyoung is a genuinely nice person, unless you mess with the people he cares about, of course.
Anyways, Mark continues his way to his next class.
~★~
After his last class of the day, Mark quickly went to the front gate due to him not wanting Doyoung to wait for him. Mark lets out a sigh of relief to see that Doyoung wasn't there yet. He then waits at the gate for the older.
After waiting for about ten minutes, Mark gets a little bit impatient.
Where the heck is he? Mark scoffs.
Just then, a voice calls Mark's name causing the brunette to turn his head towards the beaming voice.
He sees a smiling Jaehyun jogging towards him. "Hi."
"Hey." Mark says, fully turning his body to the other. "Do you have class?"
"Nope. I don't have any classes today." Jaehyun chuckles softly. "I was just bored as hell so I wandered around campus."
"Oh...I see." Mark says, nodding slowly.
"What about you? It seems like you're waiting for someone." Jaehyun says, looking around to see if he could spot anyone Mark could possibly be waiting for.
Mark's mood spoils thinking on how Doyoung probably ditched him. "Yeah, but I think—"
"Mark!" Doyoung runs over. Once he reaches Mark he smiles apologetically. "Hey, sorry I'm late. Had to help a transfer student find their class."
Mark nods, understanding and accepting Doyoung's excuse. "It's fine."
"Yeah..." Doyoung looks behind Mark, seeing Jaehyun staring blankly at him. "Who's that?"
Mark follows Doyoung's line of sight. "Oh, that's Jaehyun."
Jaehyun seems to quickly get out of his daze and as he gives Doyoung a friendly smile as he waves with a fond expression on his face. "Hi, I'm Jung Jaehyun."
"H—hello, I'm Kim Doyoung." Doyoung breathes out, giving Jaehyun a sheepish smile and shy wave.
Mark rolls his eyes as he suddenly feels like he's become invisible as the two stare at each other for a few seconds longer than needed.
"Can we go now?" Mark asks, the words geared towards Doyoung but both Jaehyun and Doyoung stare back at him.
Doyoung stiffens before laughing nervously. "Um, yeah— let's go."
"Can I come, too?" Jaehyun asks, his hand slightly raised.
Mark shrugs. "I don't care." He looks to Doyoung. "You?"
Both Mark and Jaehyun stare and Doyoung expectingly, Jaehyun seemingly more eager to know the words Doyoung would say next rather than Mark.
Doyoung blinks then gives a warm smile. "Yeah. Sure, I don't mind."
Jaehyun pulls a fist to his chest in victory as Mark rolls his eyes at him playfully.
"Alright, now, let's go. For real." Mark says as he starts walking in the direction of the cafe.
As they walked, Mark found himself trailing behind the two as they talked friendly with each other, Mark feeling like a third wheel.
However, Mark smiles knowingly as he looks at Jaehyun and Doyoung, they both had the same look in their eyes. He could tell they were already whipped for each other.
