nothing kills a man faster than his own head
cause nothing wails louder than the words he never said
the memories of all the lights that burnt bright, now start to fade
too bright for him, for he's just a man as god has made
nothing betrays a man quicker than his eyes
cause they whisper in his ears that all he sees are lies
they weigh heavier on his neck than his castle in the skies
not a man - they drive him mad as a pack of headless mice
nothing breaks a man more than his own breaking heart
cracking, from the wedge they drove in it from the start
with every word he speaks the crack widens, further apart
cause everyone he loves has a knife behind their back to stab - it's an art
nothing cripples a man more than his bone-borne chains
nowhere else can he see the shadows of the spilt bloodstains
he laughs bitterly to the tune of melancholic rains
cause poison's the same colour as the blood in his veins
