A/N: this was co-written with the extremely talented @TearmakeR12! ((this is an open announcement that i'd love to collab with y'all and co-write stuff! dm me if you wanna write something together :D)) enjoy :)

walking all alone on the sidewalk,

she hangs her head down low, gazing at the shadows at her feet

remembering the last night's terrible scene

the chilly air nips at the scars on her arm and she tries to blink away the memories of yesterday's screams

but how can she escape from the cellar she wanted, on the chains seems

she wants to let go, but the bitter sting's the only thing she has to hold on to

bruise on her heart, blood on her eyes

he can only love until he can't hold the spark and dies

ripped sanities, broken ties

the castle he's built for her's crumbling into shadows and lies

tear stained bed, mourning nights

the sadness she felt, longing for souls and cries,

he drank the life from her eyes - they used to glow bright

but escaping's not easy, no matter how hard she tries

orange skies, and cloudy noon

starry nights and shiny moon,

think of that place it was her room

she rides down alleys she calls home

through the dust and dark

she prays, she's had enough

she wants to go back to the start

her heart lies, her mind tries

how do you rebuild broken bark?

- or should i say mend a broken heart?

fix it with glue, or some fraying string

watch as the seams snap thin

fixing something shattered

isn't as easy as it seems

she's walking all alone on the sidewalk

a stranger, i met on that day

decided to stop, and find someone on her way

until her feet bring her to me

until that day, i can only hope she's where she's meant to be.
