Carlisia’s woke up gasping for air. She wasn’t a fool to forget the event that happened prior as she scanned the room she was in.
It wasn’t hers.
To be honest a room like this didn’t even belong in her house. It was too dark.
The walls were crimson where as everything else that inhabited the room was black. She was lying on a soft bed with silk black sheets and a comforter draped over her.
There was no question on who brought her here but what he wanted to do with her was the real thing on her mind?
Would he kill her?
Tears filled her eyes as she lay back down on the bed and covered her head with the comforter which gave her some feeling of safety.
Silent tears fell down her cheeks as she closed her eyes shut letting her thoughts consume her.
Maybe this was a way of death presenting itself to her. But she didn’t want to die. She wasn’t even eighteen yet. There was so much she hadn’t done.
She got up from the bed, removing the sheets from her body when she realized she wasn’t in her clothes.
Her heart began to pound even louder when she realized that.
Who could have changed her?
She looked down at herself once more and saw she was in a huge shirt and a pair of boxers. Both of them smelt like cologne.
Very strong and familiar cologne. Gabriel.
More tears fell down her cheeks. Maybe he did something to her?
Dizziness took over her s she grabbed the bed post for support and slid down on the floor. Grabbing her head in her hands sobs began to rack through her petite body.
She sniffled every now and then until she fell tired but even then content to leave this place.
She finally gets up from the tears still flowing down her cheeks as she went through the dark room to the door.
No need to think of anything drastic. The front door seemed like an easy idea. She would just need to get out of this room and find her way through the house. If someone stops her she could just ask them the reason for being held hostage.
Easy peasy.
Carlisia pepped herself as she took deep breaths and turned the knob and sighed from relief when it turned and the door opened.
Taking a deep breath she looked out to a long staircase which led to a wide hallway.
The lights were out and the only source of guidance was the moonlight that peeked through the windows.
Sniffling Carlisia slowly padded down the stairs gripping the railing. She was lucky that the floor was carpeted. She looked beyond at the hallway which turned to the right.
There were eight rooms in this single long hallway, four on each side. There was a large grandfather clock against a wall which was striking two in the morning.
Maybe this wasn’t her best idea. What if she got lost? But then she didn’t want to stay another minute in that room like a pretty little princess waiting for prince charming, all defenseless for someone to come do something to her.
Murder, Rape, Torture
Carlisia shuddered as she quickly passed the hallway and turned right to find another eight set of rooms but paintings covered the walls here.
She wondered how big the house was and why would Gabriel need such a big house?
She was tempted to open the rooms even but didn’t abide by her thoughts. She was on limited time right now.
After many twists and turns Carlisia found herself wondering another hallway. She had gone down another flight of stairs and she wondered how many more to go.
She walked through the hallway and took a left and to her surprise unlike all the other hallways that had eight rooms this particular had only one.
The walls of the hallway had no decoration what so ever and dim orange light peeked from under the door frame.
Someone was in that room.
Carlisia covered her mouth with her hand and tip toed toward the door staying glued to the opposite end of the wall so she doesn’t cast a shadow on the ground and give away her presence.
“She fucking fainted Ruben! I expected her to tale it that bad but she fainted because I came close to her. Because she was fucking afraid of me! She’s my mate. How can she lo-” She hears a familiar voice growl and her breathing stops in her throat as soon as she hears Rubens name.
“Give her some time Gabriel. She needs to come to terms with this information. What do you expect? She just found out that every living soul in this town is anything but human not to mention half dogs! She’ll come through sometime. Beside she would faint when-” Ruben says but Gabriel shushes him.
“Sshh do you hear that?” Gabriel asks and Carlisia’s heart beats faster.
“What are you talking about?” Ruben asks and Gabriel takes a deep whiff.
“She’s here.”Gabriel says and Carlisia stiffens completely.
She was caught without even making a sound? Their instincts must be sharp.
“Carlisia, you can come in.” Ruben says and Carlisia begins to dwell upon her options.
She could either go through that door and face them or she could either run in the opposite direction, get out of the house and most probably to her freedom.
“Carlisia I’m going to count till three.” Ruben says and Carlisia stiffens.
“One…….” He says and she stares at the door.
“Two….” Ruben continues and Carlisia takes a deep breath.
“Three.” Ruben says and she hears footsteps approaching the door in front of her.
Being the oh so logical person she was just as Ruben opened the door she began to sprint in the opposite direction.
“Carly!” Someone shouts but it wasn’t Ruben. In fact the voice didn’t belong to Gabriel either.
She turned another corner and found herself in another unfamiliar hallway. Distressed tears ran down her cheeks.
She should have just went through that door and faced them. Now she is being chased by her so called step brother and his friends.
She hear the footsteps gaining on her and just as she turns the corner a hand reaches out and grabs her from her upper arm pushing her into themselves.
A sob escapes her lips as she struggles in the persons hold.
“Someone please help- ” She begins to say but a hand on her mouth cuts her off.
“For the love of God please be quiet. People actually sleep this early in the morning.” The same unfamiliar voice says removing his hand from her mouth and a sob escapes her lips as she looked infront of her.
There infront of her eyes stood Gabriel and Ruben whilst her captor remained unknown to her.
“Please don’t eat me. I swear I wont taste any good.” She says hurriedly as her blood red eyes travelled from Ruben to Gabriel.
Their facial expression changed before the man holding her burst out in laughter letting her go.
Taking this as her chance Carlisia quickly makes distance between her and the three boys that cornered her.
She hugged herself in an attempt to stop herself from shaking as she looked at Ruben with pain.
He had betrayed her as he did nothing but stood and stared back. Her eyes travelled to Gabriel who was glaring at the man laughing beside him.
Finally Carlisia looked at the guy laughing. He had messy blondeish hair with an oval face and piercing blue eyes which all seemed very foreign.
“God, she got humor Alpha.” He says looking at Gabriel while wiping a stray tear, before he looks at me,
“And to answer your question, I can assure you no one will eat you. You humans taste awful.”The guy says and Carlisia pales.
“Stop messing with her Adam. She’s going to faint.” Gabriel growls at Adam as her lower lip quivers from fear.
“Carlisia I can assure you none of us have ever eaten a human.” Gabriel says as his eyes travel up and down her body.
She looked sexy in his clothes.
Carlisia notices and hugs herself tighter before looking at Ruben.
“I want to go home. Right now.” She whispers and Ruben looks towards Gabriel whose eyes darken.
“Carlisia you remember how I’ve been busy-” Ruben begins uncomfortably and Carlisia looks at him hurt.
“I am not asking you to drop me or anything. You want to stay here that is really cool for me. But I did imply that you show me the front door so I can help myself back home.” She says and looks at the clock behind them.
It was four in the morning and anytime the sun would begin to rise.
“That’s not what I meant but the thing is you can’t go home. Not now and alone. We’ll explain everything to you. Now let’s get you back to the office and Gabriel will explain everything to you before anyone else decides to wakes up.” Ruben says giving a pointed look to Adam who just raises his hands up in surrender.
“Not my fault I came to help.” Adam says before going back down the hallway leaving me with Ruben and Gabriel.
“Come on Carly lets go.” Ruben says but she shakes her head.
“I want to go home. You can explain there.” She says and Ruben sighs before looking at Gabriel who nods before grabbing her upper arm and dragging her to the office with one of his hands clamped on her mouth as she screamed into it.
Ruben sighed and had gone to the other side of the hall leaving her alone with Gabriel as he dragged her to the office.
