Another day had jogged by for Shin; still she can’t take off her smiles because of the precious happenings last night. She was so inspired she thought she was on cloud nine. She stared at the Bautista Company building and it was her first time to realize that it was marvelously huge. At her first day of work, her mind was only set on how she’s going to perform her work well no matter how huge the company she’s been working.

But in the corner of her eyes, she couldn’t help to stare at the man wearing tux. She hates to admit but this man is eyeing on her. He was standing by the window. She knows many guys are looking at her when she starts to move but this man had an aura of something different. It’s her boss, Ian. All she can see is his mysterious personality. He was unpredictable, she couldn’t imagine him living his day without telling who’s the kind of person he is. She stands paralyzed, a warm boozy feeling pooling on her knees.

Who wouldn’t want to date this hot guy? she asked herself. She saw him smirking naughtily. She huffs a sigh and crossed her arms.

Before she could move, the morning air damped her skin as the leaves fell down to join her happiness as it pranced around her. Cold breeze keeps on blowing her hair and her spines can feel a small embrace too. But the sun is starting to hide now and the once blue sky turns into vague clouds. Thus, it started to rain.

Oh great, it’s raining, she thought. She threw a glimpse on Ian and he was still there, now making no reaction as he was no longer eyeing on her. Then, she bowed her head so that he wouldn’t catch her staring at him.

As she stepped up, the rain is starting to get heavier but she did not feel wet. An arm just grabbed her. That arm was full of intense fire. He was someone dangerous.

“Here, take this,” Ian offered her his jacket. “And join me under this nasty umbrella.”

He smiled at her warmly and ever-so-sweetly. “Sir Ian, you were at your office a while ago, how can you be so fast?”

“I was only a few meters away from you, silly,” he said.

“But I know what I just --- ”

“You’re daydreaming --- about me, Shin,” he revealed his playful smile. “Let’s go.”

“Wait, I am so ---”

“Sure about what you saw?” he interrupted again. “Look Shin, I am no Edward Cullen who would magically be there in just a flash. I am only here beside my car watching you as you were watching at my company. As for now, let’s walk. I know you can’t run because of your heels.”

Very well said, she thought.

As they arrived at the office, everybody stopped to work and looked at them instead, holding hands. Shin can’t help but to grab her hand from Ian but she can’t, he was too strong. Girls were glaring at her intriguingly while boys doubted about Shin’s taste for guys. It’s their first time to see her with a guy. But how come it was Ian? For 4 years she had been working in the company, she didn’t even show any interest over him and yet Ian never sticks to girls.

“Don’t mind them,” he lowered his voice as if it’s almost a whisper in her ears. His cold, fresh breath tickles her ears. His voice was smooth and seductive. “They probably want our attention. And if there’ll be an issue about us, just pretend you didn’t hear anything.”

She nodded as quickly as she could but unexpectedly, she was insulted by his words. “I know, sir,” she said.

“I told you not to call me Sir, remember?” he said, sounding as a reminder. “As I said, just call me Ian.”

“Ah yeah… I almost forgot,” she said as she let go a meaningful smile. “I’ll take note of that, I promise.”

He raised his eyebrows. Even his eyebrows were perfect, she thought. She stares at him unknowingly in the matter of seconds. And he stared back, grinning.
