I wasn't planning on going to homecoming by MJ wanted me to come to accompany her and Ned, and Ned was okay with it, but I wasn't sure.

I really wanted to go with Peter but I just didn't have the guts to ask him.

I sighed quietly and zoned out as my teacher droned on about maths or something.

I put my hand up, "May I be excused?"

The teacher sighed over dramatically, "Fine!"

I grabbed my bag and headed to the toilets.

Washing my hands, I noticed voices in the hallway, strange.

Quickly, I dried my hands and hid stealthily around the corner, I spotted Peter and... Liz?

Jealousy arose in me but I stayed put and listened to the conversation.

"Do you uh... Maybe want to go to homecoming with me?" Peter asked nervously.

Liz giggled, "Of course I would."

I smiled sadly to myself, a shadow cast over my eyes, of course he wouldn't want to go with someone like me.

My eyes watered, I ran off not caring if they heard me, I ran and ran.

Until I reached my house, I locked the door than ran to my room and flopped on my bed.

Sobs racked my chest as mascara ran down my cheeks, why her?

Is it because she's everything I'm not?
