Ch. 17 Liz's Party

~Y/n pov~

After deciding to go to Liz's party, I decided to put my suit underneath my outfit, I was wearing black leggings, a plain f/c top and a (different colour) hoodie.

When I got to the party MJ had already got to the food, it seems she read my mind.

I joined her as we had some small talk and ate, waiting for Ned and Peter to arrive.

Peter and Ned eventually arrived, Ned smiled at me and kissed MJ's cheek as she blushed.

It was so cute totally otp! I smiled at the couple.

In the corner of my eyes I saw Liz approaching, it took everything in me not to roll my eyes at her.

She smiled at Peter, "Hey Peter, Ned! I'm so glad you turned up."

Peter blushed and fumbled with his words, "Uhhh Y-yeah course!"

I tried not to gag at the interaction as Liz walked off, ugh I'm suddenly realising I hate her so much.

Unfortunately for us, Flash happened to be on the mic, "Hey Peter where's spider-man? All I see is Ned in a red shirt."

I could almost feel Peter's irritation with Flash from here.

I gently rested my hand on his arm, "Hey, calm down. It's not worth it."

I felt Peter relax slightly under my grip as he nodded, "Yeah.. Not worth it.." He muttered more to himself then to me.

After about half an hour Peter disappeared and I didn't want to be with Ned and MJ any longer, they are cute don't get me wrong, but it was just enough.

I wondered around to find Peter on the roof," Fancy seeing you here." I joked.

I seemingly scared him as he jumped and turned around startled, he placed his hand on his heart taking a deep breath.

He pouted at me, "Don't do that!"

I looked away slightly feeling a blush forming itself on my cheeks.

I saw Peter was in his Spider-man outfit I smiled as he noticed I was in my superhero outfit as well only I hadn't changed my hair and eyes yet.

He looked at me confused," Why are you in your outfit?"

I gulped avoiding his gaze and fiddling with my fingers, "I had a bad feeling."

On queue, I saw a big explosion in the distance, "I guess I was right, that's our queue."

Peter nodded, "We better follow it."

I nodded back, "Let's fucking ditch this party!"

He swung down to the field, as I jumped using flames to try cushion my landing but also trying to not burn the grass at the same time.

Peter's webs didn't reached far enough in the field so we resorted to sprinting through the field, which was painfully slow.

We got some bad guys to catch, as a team!
