Ch. 13 Past

As soon as I got home, I showered and changed back into my clothes I was wearing.

I checked the time, 4pm that means I have about 10 minutes til Ned and Peter will arrive.

Ding dong!

Too late they are already here.

I smiled opening my door, "Welcome!" I jokingly bowed before letting them in.

We all sat down on the sofas as I got ready to tell them what happened.

Peter looked around confused, "You lived in a different house when we picked you up for Germany."

I nodded, "Yeah I'll get to that."

I sighed, "I used to have a happy family but everything changed once my mum died. We were going somewhere, I can't remember where. I was three at the time but we were just in the car. A truck drove into the side of the car and it hit my mum's side. I was at the other side and I got a gash on my leg from the impact. I wasn't sure what happened to my mother but we were immediately rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. "I sniffed slightly.

" We were still in the ambulance when her heart stopped, they became frantic and tried to save her but it didn't work. She was gone. They treated my wound but I was so numb I didn't even notice. My dad blamed me for my mother's death. He went to work one day and never came back. " I felt tears dripped down my face as Peter pulls me into a hug.

" It's okay! " Peter rubbed my back soothingly," You don't have to continue. "

I shook my head," no you deserve to know. "

I took a deep breath before continuing," They tried to find my dad but they never did so they sent me to the orphanage. I had no other family they could find to look after me. The orphanage was when I first figured out my powers. It turns out I was born with them."

I smiled slightly and held my locket which my mother gave me," I had grabbed all my belongings and this box my mum wanted me to have when she died, but I didn't know how to open it. "

I leaned further into Peter as he side hugged me, Peter blushed slightly but it must of just been because of the heat, "I was treated really badly at the orphanage and no one liked me, I had to clean and cook and it was just like living with my dad all over again, I even got hit."

I sighed, "Then one day I got really angry and I turned into my other form, Electra, and, " I felt myself crying again as Peter rubbed my back and rocked us back and forth, "I killed her I killed the person who ran the orphanage, it was an accident, I was in so much shock I just grabbed my stuff and ran for it. I lived on the streets for a while and I figured out how to open the box, I opened it with my power and found a note inside and a locket. First I read the note it said:"

Dear Y/n,

If your reading this I'm probably dead and I'm sorry I wasn't there. There is something you need to know, I wanted to tell you in person but obviously I can't. You have powers and you were born with them, when you were born the doctors were scared that you wouldn't make it but you did and I'm so glad you did. No matter what you do I will watch over you and guide you. I love you no matter what, you are the daughter I always wanted I'm sorry I can't be there to watch you grow up.

After I recited the letter I waa full on sobbing, "I used my powers to steal food and I knew it was wrong but I needed to survive. When I was fourteen a man took pity on me and gave me a job at his cafe, I saved up for an apartment and that is the apartment you picked me up at. I started using my powers for good and saving people. I was pretty well known and then Tony Stark came and recruited me and he also gave me this bigger house and the rest you know. "

I smiled sadly having finished, eventually Ned left leaving me and Peter alone.

" You've been through so much, more then me and my parents died and so did my Uncle Ben but you were so brave. "Peter smiled at me and hugged me into his chest as I cried, that night I fell asleep in Peter's arms, it was when I realised, I have a crush on Peter.
