The unbreakable bond

The arrangement part 2.

Kakarot ran to his mother's body, raditz trying to pull him back as he threw himself to the ground next to his mother bawling his eyes out.
"Get a grip will you!" Raditz slapped kakarot at the back of the head.
Guards rushed round to try and pull kakarot away, he managed to push them all back from them. This startled the guards and raditz, they felt an increase power level from the beta. They took a step back to allow the young cub time to mourn for his mother. He wished he could of stayed with her, he wished he hadn't listened to his brother and hid, perhaps then he'd of been able to save her. He looked at his mother's face, he could see the pain in her face and markings on her neck. He used his index finger and thumb to close his mother's eye lids before pecking her on her forehead. Raditz had ripped the chain around her neck with the heart pendant, to hand over to his father once he returned. Kakarot stayed by his mother's side.
Kakarot woke up shaken, tears forming in his eyes he quickly wiped them away; and brought out his mother's pendant. He remembered his mother telling him he was to do greater things than fight. He clinched the pendant tightly, as he looked opposite the room to see the prince had nodded off. Why would his mother agree to something like this? He glared at the sleeping prince. He slowly picked himself up and headed into the unsuit bathroom to throw cold water onto his face. He felt a little achy, perhaps from falling asleep on the floor, both himself and the prince refused to leave the corners of the room.There was a light knock from the bedroom door, kakarot entered the bedroom to see the prince undisturbed, there was another knock.
"Um...hello?" Kakarot quietly answered.
"Oh you both still alive then, haven't killed each other" Nappa chuckled.
Kakarot looked back at the sleeping prince before back at the bedroom door.
"Not yet" kakarot sighed scratching back of his head, he felt and heard his stomach growl "think you could bring us something to eat?" Kakarot wrapped his arms around his stomach.
Nappa cackled, "I thought you'd happily starve than get along with the prince" he was leaning against the bedroom door opposite side, he could hear the Beta male whine a little. 
"Oh come on, please! I promise I won't tell on you" kakarot whined by the door. Nappa burst into fit of laughter that startled the prince, vegeta jumped up at his feet watching kakarot on his knees with his forehead leaning on the bedroom door.
"What are you doing clown?! And why is that idiot laughing?!" Vegeta raised his brow as Kakarot rocked back and forth clenching his stomach.
"I'm starving! I'm trying to persuade this guy to get us something to eat!" Kakarot whined again.
"So much for rather starve to death huh?" Vegeta smirked, he too was feeling hungry but he refused to admit it.
"You two getting along yet?" Nappa called out from other side of the bedroom door.
"Shut up Nappa!" The prince growled, kakarot sighed as he slumped himself down to lean against the door.
"You know, we could at least try to get along just so we can have something to eat, then we can work together to find a way to escape" kakarot looked over at vegeta with desperate plea.
"Hn, no chance!" Vegeta folded his arms and looked away "unlike you kakarot, I am much stronger than you who doesn't allow his stomach to distract him!"
Nappa could be heard talking to the guards outside, it sounded like they were placing bets how long it would take for the prince to finally cave in. Kakarot sighed as he watched the prince sit back down in the corner glaring at him. What felt like hours went past, it probably was only few minutes but to them it felt like long torturous hours locked in a room together. Kakarot pulled out his mother's pendant looking at it, he rubbed the heart shaped pendant with his thumb. Vegeta curious as to what he was doing walked over looking down at him.
"What are you doing?!"
Kakarot jumped with a little squeal, he looked at the prince and quickly tucked the pendant away.
"What was that you were looking at?!" The prince stood close enough to kakarot they could feel each other's breath.
"It's nothing!" Kakarot took a step back
"Well it's obviously something you idiot! Show it to me!" He gripped onto Kakarots top, kakarot glared down at the prince.
"You know what?! I'm sick of your shit!" Kakarot broke the grip and pushed Vegeta hard enough that he was flung across the other side of the room.
Vegeta quickly got back up grinning at kakarot who had a stern look.
"Oh it's like that now?...you are aware with who you're messing with?"
"Yeah yeah, prince of sayians blah blah, heard it all before!" He snarled at the prince as vegeta walked up towards him. The guards and Nappa all leaned towards the door to listen in, the guards by the balcony doors stood and watched.
"Should we intervene?"one guard asked the other who were stood outside on the balcony, the other guard looked at him chuckling nervously .
"And risk our asses getting kicked? No chance!" They both watched from outside as both the prince and beta began to throw fists into each other.
Kakarot was able to block Vegetas attacks, getting annoyed vegeta threw in some kicks too, he was starting to get annoyed that a low class was challenging him.
"You are a pathetic weakling you know that?!" Vegeta snarled as he shoved kakarot up against the wall "you will amount to nothing! You are so naive" he punched kakarot in the gut by surprise "a beta huh? More like a lil bitch! You'd be even lucky to get the chance to sleep with me peasant!" He raised his fist towards kakarot to throw in a hard punch. Kakarot stopped him he had a hard grasp on his fist, glaring back at Vegeta.
"We can do this the hard way, or we can do this the easy way Vegeta!" Kakarot twisted Vegetas wrist, vegeta spat out in rage.
"It's prince to you! You are lucky I have these restraints on as I'd of ended you by now!" He kneed kakarot inbetween the legs that caused kakarot to let go of vegetas wrist. Kakarot laughed as he lifted the prince up to his level.
"You And I both don't want to be here, the only way out is if we can pretend to get along!" He glared at the prince. The prince eyes widened staring back at the beta male. He witnessed another side to the naive sayian. The prince gritted his teeth, as kakarot let go of him still glaring.
"as if I'd be caught getting along with a low class such as yourself!" He clinched his fist ready to throw another punch, kakarot smirked folding his arms. Vegeta glared at him, he couldn't understand the change there was a pause as they stared at each other. A knock on the door broke the pause as both prince and beta looked towards the door.
"Uh...you still alive in there?!" Nappa laughed
Vegeta gripped bridge of his nose before looking back at the smirking Beta.
"Fine. We will do it your way!" He looked back to the door "you can unlock the door now Nappa" he looked back at Kakarot who smiled a little giving a gentle nod "we've agreed ...I can't believe I'm saying this, we've agreed we will get along!"
The bedroom doors swung open, Nappa and the guards walked in to see both kakarot and Vegeta stood side by sided with their arms folded staring back at Nappa.
"If you don't mind, my soon to be mate here needs food, as much as we'd love to stay locked up here all day; I don't think it would look good on you if he were to die of starvation!" Vegeta blushed slightly on calling Kakarot his soon to be mate, he too was hungry and exhausted and couldn't bear another hour or so locked up with the low class.
Nappa and the guards looked at each other in amusement. Before they escorted them both down to the hall. Kakarot looked at Vegeta, vegeta looked back at the corner of his eye.
"Not another word!" He muttered under his breath as they both followed Nappa down the corridors.
