Gine was helping Bardock packing his bag ready for his mission, they were told they'd be gone for good few months. Kakarot was sat on his bed flicking his tail back and forth, he looked out his window at the pink sky looking at different shapes the clouds were forming. It wasn't long ago he had turned 7, many low class cubs were lucky to reach that age; if he wasn't born a beta he'd of been on another planet. Raditz watch his brother being preoccupied at the sky rather than help his mother pack for his father.
"Oh brother of mine"
Before kakarot could turn he was pinned against the wall, Raditz threw in some punches, Kakarot done his best to block a few, he wrapped his tail around Raditz neck hoping he'd release his grip. The pair were growling at each other. Gine and Bardock ran into the bedroom to see the fuss.
"Raditz that's enough! You know kakarot is not a warrior! Go do that to other warriors your age!" Bardock gripped bridge of his nose and Raditz let go of Kakarot, he stormed passed his parents. Gine ran up to kakarot to check him over, there were no markings on him, she gave him a cuddle which caused Kakarot to push back.
"I'm fine, he didn't really hurt me!" Kakarot said to his mother reassuringly.
"That doesn't matter Kakarot, you're too weak to become a warrior like Raditz he could of easily caused serious harm to you!" Bardock sat on the bed looking at his son who looked disappointed that he never even got given the chance to prove himself.
"My power level has been increasing, mom could see it! I'd just like to be given the chance!" Kakarot pouted
"No!" Bardock slammed his fist down "you need to stop going on about this kakarot!"
"Bardock!" Gine looked over at him, he sighed and looked back at Gine. Gine looked over at Kakarot and gave him a small smile. "Your father is right, you are set for something more special than fighting, trust us." She planted a kiss on Kakarots cheek before leaving the room with Bardock.
"Gine, this is getting hard I can see his potential but I don't want to go against the kings wishes. Besides I know him being mated to that narcissist family will keep him safe."
Gine looked round to where Kakarots room is before looking back at Bardock, she gave a small smile in agreement and hugged him. Little did they know, Kakarot had snuck out his bedroom window.
King Vegeta was rubbing his temples as he heard his son yelling at him, he was furious that he wasn't allowed to go do one of Frieza's missions; instead he was expected to stay and train.
"I'm just wasting my powers staying here! You've seen what I am capable of, so why won't you allow me to go?!" The Prince snarled throwing objects across the room.
"You have something more important that will need taking care of here son! For now you will train here, you will join in on some purges with the elite warriors; just not too far from home!" The king snapped at his son, he was getting real fed up dealing with a moody 12 year old.
"What is this more important thing you speak of?!"
"I can't say right now son!"
"You just can't face the fact that I, your son, the prince of all sayians is becoming more powerful than you!"
"Is that so?!" The king raised a brow at his son, holding back his laughter.
"You know what?! Fuck the lot of you!" The prince stuck his middle finger up and flew out the palace.
"Hold on, when was my son able to fly?!" The king snapped at the guards who started to swear nervously. Truth is the prince had taught himself from an early age, the guards and he knew the king wouldn't be pleased if he found out for he didn't want his son flying. He felt as royalty it wasn't sophisticated if they flew instead of walking.
"Nappa!" The king roared
Kakarot ran out past the field he'd usually go to, instead he continued running till he came across a large forest area. He head into the forest, it was dark and eerie but it did t frighten the young cub.
As he reached in deeper, he saw a boy kicking foliage around on the ground, causing under his breath. Kakarot took a step closer to have a better look, as he did he stepped on a twig that caused the boy to turn and face kakarot.
"Who do you think you are stalking me like that?!"
"Umm... Sorry?"
"Sorry?! ...sorry?!" The prince lunged forward gripping kakarot by his top "I'll show you sorry!" He raised his fist to hit kakarot, he looked into Kakarots eyes he could see the young cub wasn't sure how they got there. He instantly retracted and pushed the cub to the ground. He used his scouter to read Kakarots power level. "Interesting"
"Huh?"
The prince walked around studying the younger cub up and down. The way the cub reacted to the prince, he could tell he had no idea who he was face to face with.
"Tell me third class, do you know who I am?" The prince folded his arms grinning.
"Uhhh..." he looked at the prince who had elite armour on with royal emblem and red cape "are you part of the elite warriors?"
The prince chuckled, he couldn't believe how naive this little cub was.
"Yes I am, Tell me, what's your name?"
"Kakarot...yours?"
"You really don't have the foggiest of idea?" The prince tutted "I am prince Vegeta, son to king Vegeta." He watched as the little cubs eyes were close to popping out, he quickly got on his knees which caused the prince to chuckle some more.
"Please forgive me prince, I didn't know"
"It's fine, I'll forgive you this once" the prince smirked "what are you doing here?"
"Um, just getting fresh air...why are you here?" Kakarot scratched his head studying the prince in front of him.
"That's not any of your concern third class!" The prince scoffed at him, they heard a thud behind them that caused them both to jump back.
"Found him!" Nappa was stood grinning at the prince, the prince was about to set off "Ah-ah, not too fast prince" he placed ki restraints on the princes wrists. Nappa looked at kakarot who was stood in a fighting stance.
"Leave the prince go!" Kakarot was ready to pounce on the tall elite warrior.
Nappa chuckled, as much as he'd love the entertainment of beating up the cub. He knew kakarot was the beta male, he looked at Vegeta who was watching Kakarot in confusion. Nappa burst into laughter, if only the two knew they were chosen to be mates.
"Isn't it past your bed time?" Nappa mocked kakarot as he slung Vegeta over his shoulder. He grinned seeing one of the guards creep up behind kakarot. "Well I got to take this cranky prince back to the palace, until next time" Nappa have kakarot a wave and flew off with Vegeta shouting profanities at Nappa. Before Kakarot had time to react he felt hard grasp from behind him, they quickly knocked him out.
Kakarot woke up in his bed, he looked up to see his mother who didn't look impressed as two royal guards stood next to her.
"Kakarot! You know you are not allowed to leave my side! You are lucky these two guards had found you!"
"I-I'm Sorry...is the prince in trouble?" Kakarot looked upset.
Gine gasped as she looked at the guards, she wasn't aware that he had bumped into the prince.
"Well, we best be off now. Be sure to keep an eye on your brat ms your lucky the king is in a good mood today, otherwise we wouldn't of brought him back here!" The guard gave Gine a stern look before both headed out.
"What do they mean?! Would they send me to another planet to die?!" Kakarot asked his mother unsure what the guard meant. Gine shook her head and cuddled Kakarot.
"Sweet heart. You had me worried, you have such a caring heart but not everyone is like us, you could of been killed!" Gine pulled kakarot in closer for a tighter hug.
