The full moon was due in just a few days time, Kakarot leaned over the balcony from the bedroom. He looked up at the pink sky as he held onto his mother's pendant. The clouds were swirling leaving odd trails across the sky, he looked down to see young elite warriors taken out to train. Few of them were already pretty powerful, the older elites ensured they stayed in line as they walked towards their training ground. He smiled watching the young cubs eager to train already showing off some of their combos to the elders. His smile quickly left as he realised how he's expected to breed with the prince, he wouldn't be allowed to bond with any cubs they had for it would be a sign of weakness. By all means the cubs would have advantages above other warriors, but the way the prince is with his father gave Kakarot a snippet of what his future may be. Like his mother, he had a caring heart he knew it was frowned upon and he was lucky he was born with a supposedly unique gift otherwise he wouldn't be stood where he is now. His thoughts were broken off as the Prince walked in slamming the doors behind him, Kakarot kept at the balcony looking down trying to ignore the prince shouting out profanities about his father. Vegeta looked over seeing Kakarot leaning over the balcony, he noticed Kakarot holding onto the pendant. Vegeta never really bothered to ask about it since he saw it, part of him had been tempted to rip it off and throw it; however he saw how important it was to the young sayian.
"What are you staring at?" Vegeta stood next to Kakarot looking down, he saw the elite cubs sparring "Hn, little weaklings" he smirked. He looked over at Kakarot who sighed and tucked the pendant back into his top.
"That means a lot to you..."
kakarot looked at vegeta from corner of his eyes with serious expression.
"It was my mother's..."
vegeta raised a brow, he turned to face Kakarot with his arms folded.
"Why are you holding onto it? You know it's unheard of for sayians to be as attached sentimental things such as that"
Kakarot shook his head looking up at the sky.
"Because we are not all like you!"
Vegeta chuckled at his response, he looked up at the sky with Kakarot. The pair stood in silence looking as the clouds swirled forming patterns across the sky. He could sense Vegeta hovering around him waiting for him to say something.
"My mother was killed, this is all I have left of her. I should of been there to protect her" he sighed resting his head over the balcony. Vegeta rolled his eyes and pulled Kakarot back.
"Pull yourself together! For crying out loud! Showing your weakness like that. Do you honestly think your mother would of been proud to see how weak her cub has become?!"
Kakarot glared at him "she wasn't heartless, she tried to protect me! I let her down. When that threat came I was hidden, I shouldn't of listened to my brother..." kakarot clenched his fist looking down.
Vegeta grinned a little, he remember the last threat they had he was in bed with two others, his eyes widened into realisation, remembering his father told him how they lost a few sayians. He looked back at Kakarot and sighed.
"What was her name?" Vegeta asked, not that he cared as such but he wanted to calm the sayian down.
"Gine...why do you care?" Kakarot looked back at Vegeta.
"I don't really care Kakarot, we are sayians, we are a warrior race to mourn over something like that isn't in our blood to do so" he folded his arms "but as you are living here with me I'm giving you the exception, if you weren't so important I'd of had you 6ft under ground for being so weak and naive!" Kakarot glared at Vegeta he threw in a punch that Vegeta quickly blocked, he smirked "good, put your pent up emotions to use"
Kakarot threw in a few more punches, vegeta counter attacked the pair throwing in punches at each other neither one giving up, nor able to hit each other.
"I'm impressed...for a low class you certainly are getting stronger" vegeta chuckled as he continued to block Kakarots hits. The both glared stood opposite sides in fighting stance. As they lunged towards each other they felt hands grab them from back of their tops.
"Enough!" The king snarled as Nappa had hold of them both. "Vegeta are you out of your mind?! Fighting the beta especially out in the open?!" Nappa dropped them both in front of the king.
Vegeta dusted himself off glaring at Kakarot who was glaring back at him.
"The mating ritual is very close now! You both need to get over the differences as we need stronger warriors!"
"Oh why don't you go fuck Kakarot then?!" vegeta shoved his father out the way and stormed back inside his bedroom.
"Because boy!You are more powerful, you are the future heir to the throne!" The king threw his son against the wall, Kakarot pushed the king that caused the king to turn glaring at him. "If you weren't Beta you'd of regretted that!"
Nappa grabbed Hold of Kakarot allowing the king to punch hard into the wall of Kakarots abdomen. Kakarot screamed at the impact, Nappa dropped him as Kakarot curled in a ball gasping for air. The king grinned about to kick the naive sayain, Vegeta jumped in front and threw a punch. Taken back his dad burst out laughing, Nappa laughed along side him.
"You both best start knowing your place!" The king glared watching Nappa kick them both on the floor "that's enough! I think they've learned their lesson. Haven't you both?"
Kakarot glared up at the king clutching onto his stomach, Vegeta could see by Kakarots expression he was going to say something that would get both their ass kicked. vegeta held onto Kakarots hand and looked up to his father.
"Yes father" the prince slowly got up helping Kakarot up.
"That's better!" The king chuckled "do not have me catch you both fighting again!" He and Nappa left the room.
Vegeta slapped Kakarot across the face
"You are such a fucking idiot...challenging my father like that you absolute clown!"
Kakarot rubbed his cheek and smiled a little "Yeah guess I am huh?"
Vegeta looked at Kakarot, he wanted to punch him in the face so hard, but same time he couldn't help but chuckle a little at how stupid he really was. He pulled Kakarot to his level and planted a kiss, before quickly shoving him off.
Kakarot blushed he watched Vegeta head off to the bathroom muttering stuff to himself.
