A new enemy (Percy Jackson Fanfiction)

Fos Olympus

"Should we tell someone at school that we're leaving?" Annabeth asks.

"No. If we tell them they could follow us or get more worried." Lee tells us. I agree with him. We don't know how long we'll be gone.

"I at least have to tell my mom." Percy some what asks.

"I agree. Tell her, but spare the details." Solisse tells him. At the moment we're in the foyer with all our stuff. Early this morning Solisse told me to watch out for Lee. Apparently he got a vision that troubled him. I can see it if I look past the mist that covers his eyes. Whatever he saw it broke him just a little bit more. I move to stand beside Solisse and I remember something.

"1000?" I whisper to her.

"Yes"

"Are you going to be ok going back down?" She just looks slightly up at me but I can tell she's distressed. With Lee not telling anyone what he saw and bringing all these demigods down... she can't go to the place where she killed her boyfriends father... it might break her completely. I decide to let her be alone for a minute to get enough strength to get as close as we can. I go talk to Lee. He hasn't taken his eyes off Solisse.

"Are you ok?" I ask him. He just sighs and finally turns his gaze off my sister.

"Honestly... no."

"What happened?"

"You can't tell her if I tell you."

"Fine."

"I found out what the line 'prepare for the sacrifice of them all' means. No one dies but I come very close. She can't know.  It'll hurt her to see but it's for the best. She can't know." I can't say anything. I'm trying to process what he just said. Lee's looking at me to see my reaction but I can't think. I finally snap out of it and push the information to the back of my mind.

"Are we using the doors or falling?" Annabeth asks us. Who made us the leaders anyway?

"Falling." Lee tells us before anyone else can speak. It must have been part of the vision.

"Ok. I'll bring us to the underworld. Everyone grab hands." Solisse tells us. We all grab onto each other and the next thing we know we're at Hades palace. Nico, Solisse, Lee and I start walking in.

"Why are you going inside?" Annabeth questions.

"We need to get permission from Hades for you to walk the underworld." Nico tells them. Reluctantly they follow us. Once we're inside Solisse and Lee go ahead to tell Hades that everyone is coming so Nico and I have to lead them. As we walk it's silent but once we see the door to Hades' throne room we can hear there conversation.

"Astrlee?" I here Hades voice through the door.

"Don't worry." Lee tells him but I know that something happened.

"Lee?" Solisse sounds concerned.

"I'm fine." He reassure them but I don't even believe him. Then I hear Lee screams in pain. Percy looks like he's ready to run over and burst onto the room but Annabeth and Jason hold him back.

"Lee!" I hear Solisse yell from the other side of the door.
