The never ending torture was bearable because she was safe. As the whip came down on my bare, scard back again I shut my eyes tighter and clenched my jaw so my biological family can't have the pleasure of making me scream. The whip continues to scar me further. When they realize they aren't getting what they want from this the whip stops.

"Bring the dagger." Tartarus instructs. We wait for a minute in silence. I'm still hunched over on the ground not daring to stand.

"At least the gods taught him to be still." Krios remarked.

"That was my doing. He was a hyper brat when I got my hands on him for the first time. Finally learned your lesson son?" He asks me.

"Yes father." I tell him keeping my voice level.

"I see you taught him some manners as well." Kronos realizes.

"He's only polite to me. He'll be his bratty self to you. Isn't that right?" Tartarus instructs more than asks.

"Yes father." I repeat. I know that Tartarus has the knife and as soon as I do something that he considers to be bad to his name he'll use it with no hesitation. So I stay in a crouch completely still, witch is really hard for an ADHD hybrid.

"Get Perseus." Kronos instructs one of the monsters in the room. I can't let any of them go through this. I move a little bit and it gets Tartarus' attention and he brings the dagger down to rip across the back of my neck. This makes me bite my tongue to not make a noise. He sees the small movement and cuts into my back where the whip had stricken not 4 minutes ago. The pattern continued. The pain would get me to make small movements and every time I moved I'd get punished. Luckily they forgot about Percy and got distracted by the show of violence between Tartarus and I. I finally found a position that I won't move in and held my ground as the blade tore through the skin on my shoulder.

"Will you join us yet?" Kronos asks again.

"You wish." I shot back.

"You dare disrespect my ally." Tartarus says calmly as he slowly drags the blade down my back to make a long deep cut that goes from my shoulder blade to the small of my back.

"Sorry father." I manage to say with a level voice.

"Take him back to the others." Tartarus instructs. I feel claws of sorts grab my arms and pull me to my feet. "He can walk." Tartarus tells them. The claws emidietly release me and I start to walk out of the room. As soon as I'm out of hearing range I let my fatigue and ingeries take over. I take a break. Everyone else is just at the end of the hallway. I can't let them know what happens when Tartarus finds me. I realize that one of Tartarus' most trusted servants is walking me back.

"Hey Kelli." I greet her still trying to get my breathing even.

"You remember me?" She asks.

"Why wouldn't I?"

"I'm just a servant and you're, well, the prince."

"Your amazing Kelli. And I don't exactly look like the guy you know right now."

"The king is angry because of how long you have been missing. He believed you followed in your siblings steps."

"Did he hurt her?"

"No, he was giving you a month to show up." She tells me and I can't help my smile.

"Thank you Kelli." I tell her as kronos comes out and she looks a little panicked. I give he a nod.

"Keep moving!" The emposa orders me. I keep going down the hall. When we get to the room where the others are she unlocks the door. I can't bring myself to look at any of them as I walk into the room. I can hear their gasps and the girls crying. I just sit near the bare wall and I can hear their sobs and feel my blood run from my wounds that are healing quicker then they would if we were anywhere else. After a few minutes the girls stop crying and I know I'm the only one they let move around, but I don't. I need to heal and can't take another round tonight. The door opens but I don't dare look up. I know who's there  and I could be tortured more if I move. Tartarus always comes after a round just to see his work. I don't move. I just sit and look at the ground. I know he does a full circle.

"I'm going to be generous today and give you a full night to heal." He proclaims and waits for my response.

"Thank you, you are very kind Father." I say witch earns gasps and mumbles.

"You don't deserve it." He mumbles on his way out. We sit in silence for a few minutes.

"Lee?" I wince at Solisse's word and tone. "What happened?" I stay quiet. I know they are listening and watching just waiting for me to do something so they can drag me off again. "Lee?" She sounds so careful. Like her talking might hurt me more.

"What always does." I mumble so my friends could barely hear me.

"Why were you being respectful to Tartarus?" Percy asks not so carefully. I still don't do anything.

"We talked about talking to us." Nico says. I don't want to make them mad but I can't go through it again.

"I'm not supposed to talk." I tell them quietly. "If I talk one more time they'll come." Nico Understood.

"They didn't?" He asked. I don't do anything. His eyes get huge and I can tell he wants to help but can't.

"Nico, what are you talking about?" Molly asks.

"Can I?" He asks me. I reach out mentally.

'Don't do anything to indicate.' Is the first thing I send him. Luckily he follows the directions. 'You can tell them what you assume but I can't keep this. They'll know' I cut of the connection.

"If I'm right... I hope I'm not right... Lee was tortured." He tells the group. Another round of gasps and crying reaches everyone and all I can do is sit here.

"What monster?" Jason asks. Then Annabeth seems to catch on.

"Tartarus." She responds.

"How do you know?" Molly asks.

"Lee was being 'respectful' so that he won't have to leave." Annabeth tells everyone. Then Molly seems to catch on.

"Why isn't he moving?" Percy asks.

"Either pain or threat. Probably both." Molly tells him.

"Is all of this true?" Solisse asks looking at me. I can't move. I can't talk. My lack of acknowledgment is confirmation enough for them. Everyone's sad but I'm more scared at the moment. I know he's just down the hall but he's talking to the new enemy.
