A new enemy (Percy Jackson Fanfiction)

"You scared me!" I shout at Astrlee once I calm down after he just appeared beside me.

"Sorry." He tells me but his attentions on the gods we're watching.

"Does Wyatt know?" I ask him.

"Yeah. His dad practically grounded him." He says softly. It's obvious he's mourning our childhood friend. So am I but we have to keep our heads here or we could die too. I look back to him to see that he's searching for a weakness in there defenses. He seems to find something because he walks out of our hiding spot. I follow him out and everyone we pass bows to him.

"What did you find?" I ask him as we continue to walk along the defensive wall of the city. It's probably weird for the generals to see a lutenit walking with the prince.

"Nothing but we need to stop them from getting any closer so I'm going to help."

"Then I'll help as well." I tell him as we go down the stairs.

"When was the last time you were in battle?"

"Do you think I can't handle myself?"

"You're not getting any mental diseases on my watch. When was the last time you saw battle up close?"

"The attack Gaia led last year."

"Ready then?" He asks as we get to the door. I nod and he opens the door just to disappear. I decide I'm more needed carrying in wounded than fighting. After bringing in 2 wounded I go back out just in time to see the shimmer of a force field going up. It goes farther than the eye can see in all directions, even up. Everyone on our side stops fighting when they see it and step back so that Astrlee's in front of everyone. Our enemies look confused and scared. It's obvious that he's the one who made the force field. 2 of his cousins and the twins step out. They all raise their hands with Astrlee's and they all hold their ground for a few minutes as our generals try to find a way through. The gods look very confused and angry. One in particular looks sad and furious when the twins step out. The enemy keeps yelling but I can't hear them. A guard runs from the wall to Astrlee.

"Prince Astrlee. Your father wants you back in the palace." The guard tells him. The enemy yells louder but still not loud enough for me to hear.

"I'm a little busy at the moment." Astrlee tells him. I blink and Tartarus is standing behind Astrlee with 7 more of his siblings and cousins. The enemy yells more.

"Astrlee, come." Tartarus tells his son. The 7 that came with Tartarus raise their hands.

"Yes Father." Astrlee says and looks to everyone else holding the force field. "Ready?" He asks them. They all nod and put up a second hand. Astrlee lowers his own hand. They all look emidietly tired. "Are you all ok?"

"Just hurry!" Maria shouts through gritted teeth. Tartarus and Astrlee disappear.
