The Hidden Leaf Village's reparations were going as fast as ever and everything was returning to the times there was peace in the shinobi world. However, no matter how much the people wanted, they couldn't forget the scars that every war left in their hearts.

"Why we can't visit aunt Hima?" Asked Hizashi while finishing his training with his brother.

"She has a special mission" his mother, Hanabi replied as she examined her son's behavior.

"Not even when we go out to the clan's meetings with our allies at the other countries?" Miroku insisted. Hanabi sighed.

"It's the Hokage's orders" she said as her sons lowered their head. "Now, go on and take a bath. And don't be late for dinner!"

"Hai!"

Meanwhile, at one corner of the village a certain team was fighting a group of criminals.

"You have one last chance!" Said a dark, long haired woman as one of her team mates surrounded the group with his shadow clones. "Surrender in the name of the Hidden Leaf Village."

"You have no choice." Said her teammate. "Obey her, now."

"And what if we don't?" One of the men asked in a daring tone.

"That's a bad call" said a silver haired boy, appearing beside him in a mysterious way. The girl touched her glasses.

"So, you will try me huh?" She said as she activated her Sharingan and placing the man into a powerful genjutsu. The man suddenly fell on the floor, trembling.

"F-Fine! We surrender!" Another man said in fear.

"Never underestimate an Uchiha" said the girl as she released her genjutsu. The man lied unconscious.

After a while, the team reported the mission to the Eight Hokage.

"That's good news." Konohamaru said as he read the report. "Soon we'll control the problem with the rogue ninjas around the village's borders, kidnapping the children to sell them away.

"They didn't had any child with them this time" the silver haired boy said.

"But we can use them to take information from them, Mitsuki" Sarada said. "They probably know the whereabouts of their leader."

"That's something the ANBU will take care of." Konohamaru said.

"But Hokage-sama-!"

"Sarada...it's enough. The team did their mission. Now let us take care of the rest." He replied as he dismissed the team.

"Stay calm Sarada. They'll take care of it. Right Boruto?" Mitsuki said as they walked around the village.

"Of course, the ANBU will take care of this so don't worry." Boruto said in a care free tone.

"How can you be so calm? Rogues ninjas are taking away children from their families. Kami knows for what purposes!"

"Yeah, but they'll find a way to solve it so, why worry?" He replied. "Anyway, I'll go home."

Mitsuki and Sarada watched how Boruto left.

"Something's strange about him." Sarada said.

"Ever since Himawari left the village he's been on his own. He even stopped being so proud on taking difficult missions."

"Still he's himself somehow...He's just more..."

"Mature?"

"Serene. Like, he finally accepted that his sister's gone." Sarada said in a thoughtful way.

"I'm home" Boruto said as he entered his house. His mother was at the kitchen making dinner.

"Welcome back, Boruto. Dinner will soon be ready." she replied as he walked to his room.

"Hn. Call me when it's ready." He said as he went to his room, but Hinata stopped him.

"Boruto. Wouldn't you help me finish this? Your father will arrive soon."

"Mother, I just came back from a mission. I need to rest."

Hinata watched him go suspiciously. She knew something was wrong with him. "Oh, okay then.." she murmured while thinking about his sudden behavior.

Meanwhile, Boruto fell on his bed. "Ah, finally some rest." He said as he turned to watch an old photograph of him and his sister playing at the park. "It's been a few months, Himawari.... But don't worry, soon we'll be together forever."
