The guards took me outside to face everyone at the center of the village. Well, what is left of it.

I see how a group of elder people, who once stood there to help my father and protect the village, stare at me with disgust and hatred.

"The time has come!!" One of the elders said to the frantic crowd. "Today we will finally put an end to this era of war and tragedy!"

"We will get rid of the shinobi world, the tailed beasts, and everyone whose powers represent a threat to our families and our loved ones." He said as everyone continued chanting in excitement.

"This tailed beast was the mere origin of all our problems, and now we will use it to build the world we want to build! Once she dies, our problems will be solved!!"

I saw how everyone screamed for my blood. They wanted me to suffer. To pay for being myself.

"And once we finish this, we will continue to protect those who needs us. We will pursue every cursed souls and we will free them from the ties of the shinobi world...."

The man smirked. "No matter what it takes"

I gasped as I saw how he motioned his executioner to use his katana and kill me. I suddenly felt how they used Kurama's chakra to immobilize me. I struggled to get free but they managed to place my head down.

That's when I felt his katana brush against my neck. That was the moment.

That was the time,

When I truly felt time stop.

People's screams echoed from afar.

The laughs and yells of victory from the elders.

'You know what to do, kid'

I closed my eyes, doing my best to step aside all my anxiety and fear. I though of the small, last good memories of the people I loved.

Mother...

Father...

Brother....

Shinki....

The guard finished aiming the spot and made the swing with strength and determination. All while everyone went frantic, expecting the result of the main event.

Shinki finished killing all the guards as he ran out of his cell to find his beloved.

"Hang on Himawari..." he said as he went to the cell where she was located. Only to discover that it was empty.

He inspected the place for a while, thinking of where could she be at this moment. Then he heard the crowd.

Fear invaded his body as he ran frantically from building to building to locate her. "Damn it! I hope I'm not too late..."

"There he is! Stop him!!" Said some guards as a bunch of them suddenly surrounded him and used their weapons against him. Shinki used his iron sand to protect himself as he ran through them, but it didn't took long enough to notice that his defense sistem didn't had that much effect.

"This chakra...." he murmured as he realized that his iron sand wasn't as strong to protect him against the weapons they were using. "It's from the Nine Tails..."

Unfortunately, his little distraction cost him the freedom he had to rescue his fiancée..

"We got him!! He'll be next!!" They started saying as Shinki, suddenly noticed Himawari being placed at the mercy of the elders.

He tried to get free. "No!!! Himawari!!!"

But it was no use, the amount of guards holding him were too much and she couldn't hear him. He started trembling, his eyes watering...

He was fearing the worst.

Suddenly, he couldn't bear to watch the whole scene as he heard the swinging sound of the katana moving against his victim.
