The rays from the sun illuminated the room,  marking the beginning of a new day. I opened my eyes and noticed that I was surrounded by the big strong arms of the man I love. He slept so peacefully, so calm. As if all thw bad things that we went through was just a mere fantasy.

I sat up on the bed and covered my body with the blanket. My intentions were to let him sleep for a while as I went out to my usual training. However, a trace of iron sand grabbed my waist and pulled me back in.

"Good morning" he said as he buried his face in my hair, smelling my scent.

"I didn't want to make noise that would wake you up." I replied as I cuddled with him.

"You didn't care about that last night. I'm sure the whole village knows by now" he said with a smirk as he kissed me on the lips.

"Whaat?!?!?" I said while hiding in embarrassment. "Oh my Kami!"

I heard him laugh. "Come on, admit it. Now let's go. Lord Konan must be waiting for you at the training grounds-"

"THE TRAINING!!! GET OUT!! GET OUT!!" I said while I kicked him out of the room.

"Hima wait!!" He protested.

"Don't watch me! I need to get dressed and run before's too late! Where's my katana?!?!"

"You're in my room Hima!!"

"What?!?!" I said while dressing up.

"That you're in my room."

I froze. "S-s-s-soooo....I came and we....did it here...?"

"Uhh...yeah?"

I couldn't believe it. The shame was too much.

"I...I....oh Kami-" I said while fainting of embarrassment in front of him.

"Hima!!" He said worried while carrying me. Then he started to laugh, remembering the first times we dated back at Sunagakure. "Oh Hima, how I've missed you."

"So, you finally catched up with him?" Konan said with a smirk.

"What do you mean?" I asked back.

"Your soon to be husband? You haven't seen him in four years. And he arrived yesterday. I hope you had a good time together."

"That's none of your business."

"Well as future Lord of the Land of Demons, it is my business. Specially when I heard strange noises last night." He said while giggling.

"You want me to gentle fist your ass?!" I yelled in annoyance at him while trying to hide my blush.

"No thanks, I don't want to get into trouble with your man. Besides, he probably gentle fisted yours already."

"Right...then what you need is me to use this against you!" I said while pointing at him my Katana with a smirk. "Maybe it'll be more effective on you dattebane."

"Alright, alright you win. I'll cut it out." He said as I lowered my guard. "But if I were you, I'll be more careful to not disturb others."

"OK I get it! Geeez!!" I said as I started to laugh. Konan may be strict during training, but I must admit that he was a true friend.

"So what would you do now?" He said as we finished our training. "You have him and he has to lead some people."

"I...I think I must finished what I started." I said as I drank some water. "I thought about this and...the people need a new home."

"But weren't they the ones who treated you as a monster?"

"Apparently they are the ones who understood what I've done for them. Of course, they may be liars but, like it or not they carry the essence of where I come from. That's something I can't deny no matter what."

"Oh...." Konan said in a thoughtful manner. "In that case, I'll support you no matter what. Just tell me what you need."

"You don't have to do it Konan. You have  your people and soon you'll take your mother's place."

"If there's one thing I learned from my mother is that a true leader helps strengthen the bonds between their allies. And you, Himawari are not only my student or guest, you are my friend."

Then he stood up and offered me his hand while grinning. "Now let's go and tell mother about your plans."
