Shinki waited outside of the hospital at the same spot he used to wait for Himawari when she was about to leave work. But this time was different, he was waiting for her to be released from the sudden treatment she had to go through in order to control her power. He was getting anxious, but not from just seeing her like other times.

'Calm dowm Shinki. Stay still, stay focused. What she said back then wasn't the truth. It wasn't her. It was her condition...'

He came back to reality when he noticed Boruto get out of the hospital first. He was alone, and seemed to be extremely calm. Shinki hated how carefree he was ever since he knew him at the Chūnnin Exams. He knew that he was a troublesome guy, but he had to admit that there was an unusual strenght and carisma that made him....

Realization hit him like a truck when he immediately sensed his chakra levels. He hand sensed Himawari's unstable chakra, even when she had her episodes but Boruto's chakra was more intense, darker and at levels that no common shinobi would handle.

'Impossible. Boruto's been gifted with the Jougan, he got it by his Hyuga and Uzumaki bloodline. Maybe that's why his chakra is like that...'

"You should be looking for your lover, not for me..." Boruto said with a smirk as Shinki blinked. "There's nothing of your business here."

"Actually there is" he reolied as Boruto suddenly stopped without turning around. "And you haven't answered my question."

"I have done nothing to her, she just went on a rampage the minute we started talking."

"You were reckless. You know her condition should be treated carefully. Any sudden move will cause damage to her and to everyone she loves."

"I am aware of that. I'm her brother after all..."

"It didn't seemed like it when she first went to war disguised as Hana."

"Even if it wasn't like it, if you knew about it, why didn't you do something to protect her from becoming the monster she is now?"

"It wasn't my business back then. Even if it was to protect her from the very beginning, I only cared about protecting my village."

"What?" Said a female voice from behind him that Shinki recognized very well. Boruto made a smirk and left as if nothing ever happened.

Shinki turned around to face Himawari. She already had tears coming out from her eyes. "H-Hima..."

"I'm sorry for becoming a burden ever since before we met. I mean, I always knew it. I was a burden ever since I activated my Byakugan for the first time... You know, when I was a six year old girl.."

"Hima that was before I knew the real you! Damn it Hima I-I didn't mean it!" Shinki said while cursing the moment he talked to Boruto and fell in his trap.

"You said what you had to say. Let's face it, there's nothing else for us right now."

"W-what?" Shinki said as Himawari kept on crying without looking at him. He grabbed her by her arms. His whole body was shaking. "Hima, look at me! Hima! Himawari Uzumaki look at me while I'm talking to you!"

Then he knew it. Himawari's blue, watered eyes stared at him. "I'm sorry..."

It wasn't until after a while that he also started crying. But he knew better. He knew her fiancée way better. She could tell the whole world one thing, but her eyes, those pure eyes of her that everyone wants, never lie.

"Let me go" she said while he released her. "I...I need to go, Shinki-sama."

But before she passed him to continue her walk he grabbed her hand. "I made a promise to you that I intend to keep, no matter what it costs. You're the love of my life and I will not give you up until I know what exactly is happening between you and your brother."

Himawari stood silent for a while but Shinki knew that she didn't like what she was doing. Something happened while she was in there and Boruto had something to do with it. He let her go, his eyes watching how her love walked away carrying a burden he's trying to release from her.

He made a huge sigh before wiping away his tears. Then he walked in another direction.

'Just hang on Himawari. I will know what's happening, and I will free you from your burden.'
