Alicia and I cried as we watch the end of The Notebook. Mikey rolled his eyes. Just to get it over with he decided that we would watch it first. Big baby. Real men watch chick flicks...at least that's what Lyn-Z told Gerard all the time and that she wanted a REAL man. I laughed everytime because it worked and he would watch chick flicks with us. I even caught him trying not to cry at the end of Mulan Rouge. Of all the movies for a man to cry over...he had to pick Mulan Rouge?! ...real man my butt...
"Finally. It's over!" Mikey exclaimed as the credits began rolling. Alicia stood up.
"Well I gotta go to work." She looked at me. "It was nice meeting you and spending time with you." I smiled. She kissed my forehead. I smiled some more. Alicia was going to make a great mother. I looked at Mikey. He patted the seat next to him and I rolled over to him. I had been sitting in my chair this whole time. I didn't mind. It was comfortable, but after a while it was starting to make my butt go numb. Mikey helped me get on the couch and I leaned against the arm of it. He pulled my legs up on his lap and pressed play for the next movie. The Hills Have Eyes. I love this movie too. It's so gross yet so awesome.
"You gettin' hungry yet?" Mikey asked me half-way through the movie. I shook my head. "Well I am. Do you want me to grab you something while I'm in there?" He asked as he gently lifted my legs off of his lap and stood. He let go of my legs just as gently so that they were on the couch. I thought for a minute. "We've got fruit and stuff."
"Do have any apples?" He nodded.
"Want one?"
"I want two." He smiled.
"I thought you said you weren't hungry," he replied while giving me a look. I shrugged my shoulders.
"That was then and this is now." He shook his head a little and let out a small laugh.
"You're goofy." He walked out of the darkened livingroom and into the lighted kitchen. "God that hurts my eyes," I heard him complain. I laughed a little and looked back to the screen. Mikey returned a little bit later with a plate full of sliced apples and two little cups of peanut butter. "Didn't know if you liked to dip them in peanut butter or not." I nodded.
"I do." We ate our apples in silence for a little and then the doorbell rang. Mikey sighed and went to answer it. I chewed on my piece of apple and looked when someone walked back into the livingroom.
"Don't you look comfortable," Gerard said as he walked over. I moved my legs so he could sit down and then put them on his lap. He started to message my ankles. Mikey must've told him that I said they were hurting. The doctor told Gerard that was the best thing to do to make the pain go away.
