"Gerard...stop blaming yourself," I heard Lyn-Z say to him. I had just woken up in my bed. The door that connected to their room was open. The streetlight coming through my bedroom window told me that it was night time now and that we should probably all be sleeping.
"I almost killed her Lyn-Z! How can I not blame myself?"
"Baby...it wasn't your fault." I heard someone crying. I didn't know if it was Gerard or Lyn-Z or both. "She wanted you to let her go-"
"But I didn't tell her! That's the problem!" I tensed at that. It was my fault that he was feeling like this. It was all my fault.
"Gerard...honey come on. Let's go check on her. The doctor said that she would be fine. Come on." I heard them stand up and start walking towards my room. I sat up in my bed. "Hey. You're up. That's good. See Gerard. She's okay." He walked over and stood by my bed. He sat down next to me and wrapped his arms around me.
"I'm so sorry."
"I love you daddy."
"I love you too."
