Overwhelming feelings that never seem to fade
The thought of how useless you are to your friends
How you wish you could be like that other person
You're suddenly whisked back into reality and out of your thoughts
Someone called you and you pretend that you were paying attention
Later, you're back in your thoughts
You wish so much
But they are just wishes
Wishes don't come true
You fall down on your bed and stare up at the ceiling
It's dark in your room
Just like the dark thoughts swirling around in your head
But let me tell you something
When you're lost in the darkness
Look up
See the stars
See the moon
If you can't see them, that's okay
Just wait for a minute
You just need to wait for the clouds to leave
Just because the clouds are hiding them
That doesn't mean that they aren't there to comfort you
The night is my favorite time
Because I can see the moon and the stars
And that makes me feel safe and secure
When it's dark outside
I'm home
