Everyone, having had either died or tired practically dying, so there wasn't a difference, had gathered out of Trost, regrouping in a new place so that we could hear about the plan and so we could rest.

The fact was that once soldiers had learned about a kid emerging from the neck of a titan, they went to the worst option.

The soldiers had taken Eren away, talking Armin, and Mikasa with him. Because I had watched the titan rampage and had witnessed Eren coming out, I was questioned slightly and sworn to secrecy that I would not tell anyone. I wasn't even thinking of doing so if people knew that humans could transform into titans than my life would get even that much harder, and Reiner, Bertolt, and Annie would be at risk too. I didn't care as much about them as I did myself, sounds rude, yes, but hey, that's the truth of the situation.

I stood next to Bertolt as we waited for instructions to be given to us. My team was tense. This wasn't something they had really prepared for, a new being, having to continue to pretend to be a cadet and having to follow rules and regulations. They were just as piss scared as the rest of these humans.

During the duration of waiting I could hear cannon fire, one shot, and then there was smile rising up from the blocked off area that they had taken Eren, and them, to. People became antsy at this, and it had even caused my team to go leave me to check out what had happened. With them gone and out of the way, for the time being, I started to search for Jean and Marco.

I pushed through the crowd of people, looking for the people I knew as I slipped between people. I found Sasha soon, now I hadn't been friend with her per se, but we had known each other and fought once or twice. Sasha was munching lightly on a piece of bread, she looked spooked almost, but didn't actually look all too scared.

When I tapped on Sasha's shoulder she jumped slightly, turning alert hazel eyes on me. "Hm? Yes? Do you need something?" she asked lightly, slightly holding her food closer to her. Despite not being my friend she was friends with Marco and Jean, so I was hoping she had the information that I needed.

"Do you know where Jean and Marco are?" I asked as calmly as I could. She stared at me for a while before an impish smile lifted her lips.

"Are you saying you're done with training now?" I was confused. What did she mean by that?

Sasha nodded in what seemed like glee.

"Yeah! You're done with training?" she asked once again like it was common knowledge.

"I-I..." I looked away from Sasha, trying to get answers from the dirt path that I was under. "I don't understand what you mean by that, Sasha? What training?"

Sasha's oomph seemed to die down a bit, but almost immediately came back up as she explained what was going on in her head. "Well, you see!" She started off cheerfully. "Bertolt told everyone that you wanted to get in the finest of your training, told us that you had told him. He told us that you wanted to be left alone for a while so that you could focus solely on training! He also said that you were going through things, what with the news of parents dying, and that we should keep our distance because you were very sensitive about the subject!" This was complete and utter bull crap that I assumed Bertolt, Reiner, and Annie had made up to, I don't know, 'help me' in making sure that I didn't talk to people. I didn't understand their reasoning.

I didn't have parents, or rather, parents that I cared enough about to be 'sensitive' to the subject of their death, and besides, my parents weren't dead anyway. And the thing about focusing on my training was also complete lies, I couldn't care a darn thing about making sure I was strong. The only thing that I wanted in the last days of training was to make sure to keep in touch with friends who were going into different regiments than me, this would have included Armin, and Bertolt, maybe also slightly Mikasa and a bit of Eren.
