Tuesday October 19

The red and orange leaves seemed to be dancing through the air this morning. The wind was slightly chilly but not too strong. It was one of those breezy relaxing autumn mornings.
On my way to school I like to look at the houses and their decorations. They are decorated all year long. Starting from October all the way until the start of December, the houses are decorated for Halloween. December until April, there are Christmas decorations. The rest of the year, the front doors are either filled with birthday decorations, fourth of July crap, or wedding decos.
My bike rides to school are pretty short anyways, so I don't mind looking at the same old boring scenery.
...
"Are you doing your Bio session with hottie today?" Asked Ella, chewing on an enormous piece of bubble gum.
"Mr Xanders told me I am supposed to do it everyday, but I'm gonna talk to him about the schedule today." I replied
"Why not everyday?" She seemed disappointed
"Everyday is too much." I said carelessly, reading my Lit textbook.
"I swear, if I were you I'd tutor him every single day, because damnnn."
"I'm so done with you." I laughed
The bell rang and Ella and I went to the locker room. She told me that her community service activity for the day was teaching 2nd graders how to multiply. I just hope she doesn't fuck up.
I took the long way up to room B101 to avoid crossing Theo on my way there. I wanted to let him know I decided to go to the music festival with him, but not just yet. To be honest I actually wasn't sure how to tell him.
Hey I'm sorry I said no at first, but my friend told me I should go with you so I'm going.
It would just be weird to say it that way.
Mr. Xanders was the only one in the room. He was sitting on a short chair, reading the school newspaper.
Theo wasn't there yet.
"Hey Mr. Xanders!" I smiled cheerfully.
"Hello Sara. Theo should be here any minute." He was calm today. He did not appear to be in a hurry for anything.
"I actually meant to talk to you about the tutoring schedule. Is it okay if I take a day or two off?" I asked
"Well." He pulled a chair next to him and signalled me to take a seat. I did so. "That would slow everything down." He removed his reading glasses
"It's okay. We have time." I said
"If that's what you really want, then I don't see why not." He smiled. "Which days were you thinking?"
"I was hoping I could maybe get Tuesday and Thursday off."
"Is this a bad time?" Asked a familiar voice
It was Theo. He was wearing a basic black t-shirt and Hollister-looking jeans. I hadn't noticed that he had an ear piercing that matched his dark brown hair. Ella was right for once, he is one good looking guy.
"Theodore. Come in" said Xanders as we both stood up. "Sara and I were just talking about the tutoring schedule." Theo stared at him blankly
"You get Tuesdays and Thursdays off." Xanders elaborated. "I am going to go to the teacher's lounge now, so you two can have a study hall this period. Since it's Tuesday." He smiled and left the room.
Theo went to the back of the room and put his bag down.
"Couldn't take a whole week of me huh?" He said to me, breaking the silence. He turned towards me and smiled, almost in a teasing manner.
"I just think we don't need to rush it." I shrugged. "We have time."
He sat on top of a desk at the back of the room. For some reason I couldn't look him in his eyes when I talked to him. There's something about them, I don't know what exactly, but they're distracting.
"Did you change your mind about this weekend?" He asked across the room.
I was hoping he wouldn't bring it up.
But why not, right?
"I'll go." I finally said
"Seriously?" He was surprised. I mean I said no yesterday, so I can see why.
"I'll go under one condition." I looked up at him. He got up from the desk where he was seated and slowly walked towards where I was standing.
"Yeah? And what's that?" He smiled a cocky smile.
"You're driving, and you're buying my ticket." I said. I just made that up, but I'm glad I said it. That way he can't get drunk and I don't have to waste my money on an expensive ticket.
He stopped right in front of me, only a few inches separating us.
He raised an eyebrow and gave Mr .
"That's two conditions." He said.
"Oops." I shrugged and smiled.
I walked to the nearest desk and took a seat.
"Alright." He came to my desk. "Deal" He said, and walked past me, back to his seat at the back of the room.
