Suddenly I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Do you have a lighter?" asked a slutty looking girl.

"Um, no." I said to the stranger

I really just wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

As I walked inside the house, I saw two girls making out, a boy and a girl already half naked making their way upstairs, a group playing beer pong and at the corner of the living room, I saw Ella sitting on the floor with a group of guys that I'd never seen before.

I ran towards her and pulled her up by the arm.

"Hey! Watch it!" She moaned and let out a weak laugh

"Are you drunk?" I asked

"I want to show you something." She whispered

Ella lead me to the backyard. There was a pool there, surrounded by horny teenagers and a load of red cups.

Ella pointed to the cabana near a white fence. "Do you see it?" she asked

"The cabana? Yeah, what about it?"

She put her arms around my shoulder and laughed "No, silly!" she came closer to my ear and whispered in it "The horse in front of it."

What the fuck.

"Are you insane?" is all I managed to say

"The horse is calling my name." She said with a straight face

That's when I knew that she wasn't just drunk. She was high. That bitch was higher than fucking Wiz Khalifa and it took me that long to figure it out.

"I'm taking you home." I pulled on her arm and dragged her inside.

"No!" she protested

The house smelled like vomit and whoever chose the playlist should get beat up because the muffled Skrillex was just not working .

Once we got out of the house I could took a deep breath. Finally I didn't have to inhale the smell of sweat and alcohol. I honestly did not understand how anyone in their right mind could find that party the least bit fun.

Half the streetlights in this neighborhood don't work, so it's always extremely dark outside at night. I didn't say a word to Ella because she was doing all the talking. Something about the horse's makeup, I don't know. All I know is that she crossed a line this time. I don't know what the fuck she was on, but I will slap her in the face the next time I see her.

We were about ten feet away from the house when I heard the sound of a police siren. I grabbed Ella's hand and pulled her behind Nicholas's neighbor's house. We couldn't go in their backyard because of the fence, but we were hidden well enough thanks to the trees in the front yard.

There's always someone who calls the cops. Luckily we left before they came, but we weren't far away enough so they still might've arrested us. Another reason why we had to hide is that Ella was baked as hell. I really just wanted to leave her there and run. But I couldn't

Half an hour passed and everything was quiet. Ella was asleep on my shoulder so I had to wake her up.

"We have to go now." I said quietly.

It was around 11pm. I stood up and lifted her off the ground. I placed her left arm around my shoulder and we made our way home.

We walked past a couple more house parties. What's with people partying every Friday. Don't they ever just want to sit at home and watch TV?

The curtains were open so we could see people doing body shots and dancing on poles. The parties were all pretty much like Nicholas's.

Ella made me stop in front of a house on Licoln Rd. It was another house party, but this one was insane. The music was loud enough to be heard from like a mile away and I could see people doing coke from the window. Ella and I walked up to the house. I don't know why we did that. We were just curious.

"Do you think we should go in?" Ella asked

"Are you crazy? Let's leave, this is freaky."

"I really wonder what it's like." She said, not even listening to me.

"It's the same thing as Nick's party. We need to leave now."

I heard a two loud gunshots being fired. My heart began to race. I tugged on Ella's arm and begged her to leave. She didn't budge. She insisted on going in.

"I swear if you go in I'm leaving you." I yelled

She didn't listen to me. She wabbled up the three stairs and sat down right in front of the door.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I yelled. My heart was beating so loud that I kept thinking that more shots were being fired.

Suddenly I heard a police siren. I panicked. I didn't know what to do. On one hand I wanted to run to my house, lock the door and hide in my room, but on the other hand I knew that I couldn't let my best friend out here alone in this state.

I ran up the stairs and lifted her up. I quickly put her arm on around my neck and made my way down.

It was too late. Before I knew it a policeman was flashing his flashlight in my face, cuffing my hands and reading me my Miranda rights. He did the same to Ella and lead us to the car.

A couple other policemen entered the house and probably arrested everyone in there.

And that is how I ended up in prison. I don't know where Ella is right now, but this is all her fault. If she hadn't gone to Nick's stupid party, none of this would have happened.

Apparently there is going to be a short trial tomorrow. Hopefully my court appointed lawyer will get the judge to agree on letting me go with a warning.
