I woke up to my sister, playing music to the highest volume.

"Stella, Do you seriously feel like you're the only one who lives here?" I screamed to the closet, where she was picking out her clothes.

She stepped out of the closet and she put her hair brush on her table. (We have our own tables since our parents thought that we might fight for it if they only bought one.)

"Sorry to wake you up so early." She sat on my bed, "I'm just nervous. You know.. College."

It was her freshman year, and this year is my Junior year in high school. Nothing special for me.

The name's Skarlett. Friends and family calls me Skar. Yes, the villain from Lion King. They started calling me that, because when I was a kid, they claimed that I used to say that it was my favorite cartoon character. Well, if I may say.. I was pretty badass since birth.

"It's alright. I know you feel nervous." I try to cheer her up, "You'll kick their butts. My sister is a hottie with straight A's!"

She gave me a wide smile.

"And smelly feet" I added.

I bursted out laughing and she threw pillows at me. I sat up from my bed,

"HEY! We are not having a pillow fight this early." I said as I try to avoid the pillows that she was throwing.

Soon enough, I found myself throwing back pillows at her. We were screaming and laughing.

Next thing we know, there was a knock on the door.

"You could have been eating breakfast out here, instead of killing each other."

Mom exclaimed behind the door.

"Okay." We said at the same time, giggling.

Even though she's in college, I'm in high school, we totally do not act as our age. Our minds are like nine years old's (Not literally). We are like parters in crime, although we are the very opposite of each other. How different?

Well, let me put it this way.. She wears floral skirts, I wear black-skater skirts. She likes pink, I like black. She has perfect blond hair, and I have a really dark, black hair. The list goes on.

We cleaned up our room, went downstairs and found the dining table filled with delicious bacon strips and sunny side ups, two jugs filled with orange juice and water.

We gave mom a good morning kiss and head to the dining table.

I am always the one to finish eating. My family thinks it's a big issue, but I honestly just get annoyed when they make a big fuss about it.

I stepped in the shower after I finished eating, and believe it or not, but I brush my teeth in the shower. Yeah, I'm weird. After that, I went to my room and grabbed a pair of skinny jeans and a hoodie since it's a bit chilly outside because of the rain. I took my bag and head out to the living room.

"Won't you be late?" Asked Stella,

"No. I still have half an hour" I replied with a cheeky smile on my face.

She stuck her tongue out to me, and I just laughed.

"What time do you have to leave?" I asked her,

"At about ten."

It was 7:15 am at the moment.

"Oh, okay."

I'm really going to miss her once she moves out. The house is going to get more quiet, and I don't think I'm anywhere near of being ready for that.

It was about 7:40, and school starts at 8:00. I don't really worry much, because school is just like seven blocks away.

I took my bag from the living room floor, and started walking up to my sister.

"Take care, alright." I said to her as I gave her a big hug. "Don't let some assholes bring you down."

"Ha, like I would." She chuckled.

I went out the front door, where I saw my dad in his "mechanic suit" which looked like he hasn't wash for a year or two, and was holding his favorite toolbox.

"Leaving for school, honey?" He approached me,
"Yeah, dad."
"Okay, take care."

I grabbed my skateboard from where I always place it, which was beside the door, and head off.
