the crew cheered and the boys high fives each other.
"thanks for collaborating with us" austin dabbed lil tj up.
"yea for sure it was a cool mix" the rapper said before walking away with his entourage.
"so party time?" zion smiled big.
"sure... hey i'll be back ima go look for–" nick started.
"kj" the boys all said at the same time teasing nick.
nick shook his head and started walking around the studio looking for her. he thought she'd be in her dance room or office but he had no luck.
before giving up he looked around one last time found her.
"rooftop? what are you a wattpad fiction story, where the girl runs away and sits on the roof because that's the only place no one can find her" nick sighed.
"i mean it's not wrong" kj remained unbothered.
"are you finally going to tell me what's wrong? i tried asking earlier and you shot me down"
"i don't even know you, why do you care?"
"okay well, my name is nicholas carter mara. i'm in a boyband. i love dancing, i was even in a group when i was smaller and we were dope as fuck. umm i don't like bugs and like expensive clothes" the boy smiled taking a seat next to her.
"that's not what i mean. and i could of read all of that off of wikipedia or something so doesn't mean i know you"
"i love your name. like genuinely love it. i don't mean kj either, i mean kennedy james. it's so infatuating" nick said making kj's face turn a shy red.
"my dad–" kj chocked. "he and my mom bought me this place as my graduation present so i could do good to their neighborhood. after she passed away, he lost all sight of good and became so money driven. now he wants me to start making money out of this place and i can't do that to these families. they could never afford the classes held here."
"wow, yeah that is a reason to be crying" nick said wide eyed.
"you're not very comforting" kj laughed, with tears still in her eyes.
"i didn't say i was" nick smiled showing his heart stopping smile.
a buzz was heard from nicks pocket. he pulled out his phone showing an incoming call from edwin. he quickly ignored it and put his phone back in his pocket.
"why didn't you answer his call?" kj asked.
"not in the mood to pretend i wanna party"
"wow, and to think i was going to go for you" kj pretended to be offended.
"don't get me wrong, i love those boys but i'd rather hide in the basement than go to another party" he shrugged.
"same"

"i cant believe you posted that caption, your fans are like fbi agents. they're gonna know who you were with and think we're a thing or something" kj furrowed her brows.
"would that be so bad?" nick laughed.
"i mean, i don't know if i could ever date a celebrity"
"i'm not a celebrity" nick shook his head.
"a well known person" kj rolled her eyes. "look you're a great guy and all but i don't think a relationship between us would ever work. i'm not into all that spotlight stuff and relationships never worked out in my favor"
"why are you trying to get rid of me?"
"not get rid of you, i just want you to know up front what you're dealing with"
"you really wanna why i'm so drawn to you?" nick asked, causing kj to nod her head. "something about you is so irresistible to me. i don't even know what it is yet, but i can't seem to stay away from you too long"
"okay you kind of sound like a creep" kj giggled.
"i'm sorry, but it is what it is so stop trying to push me away"
"okay next question. besides dance what else do you like to do?" kj smiled.
"well i mean i like–" nick began to say before being cut off by a little girl.
"hi, sorry to bug your date but do you mind if i get a picture with you" she smiled at nick.
"of course" nick stood up from his chair.
and there it was. the reason kj would never date anyone in the public light. it's not that she felt weird dating them. but the idea of dating someone who she would have to share with the rest of the world wasn't something she wanted.
"thank you, and by the way she's really pretty" the girl told nick.
"i know" nick whispered looking back at kj.
