No War - Divergent

Chapter 10

Tobias unlocks our apartment door. Christina is chatting to Tamra, keeping her mind of the fact I ran away and Tobias followed.

"Mum! Dad!" She shouts smiling.

"Hey lil' girl!" He bends down to her size and hugs her. He kisses her cheek and then stands.

"Are you okay, Tris?" I take in a deep breath and nod.

"Yep." I say quietly.

"Mum, was it the baby? Does it hurt?"

"Hey, Tamra, there's no need to worry about the baby, I'm sure your mum and it are fine." He gives her a smile but she still looks worried at me. I bend down and open my arms out to her. She runs into my arms.

"I love you, hon." I whisper into her ear.

"I love you too." She smiles. "And dad!"

"I was gonna say, chunk. I love you." We're all smiling so Christina begins to collect her belongings.

"Chris?"

"Yeah."

"I'll come round later."

"Okay." And she leaves.

"Tamra?" She nods.

"Do you want to go for a walk?" She nods back at me eagerly.

"I guess we'll see you in a bit." I say to Tobias. I lean to him and kiss him and we leave. I hold onto Tamra's hand and we walk around the compound.

"Tris." I look up, staring back at me, there's Uriah.

"Hiya." I smile.

"So, Tris, how are you?"

"I'm good, Uri. How are you?"

"I'm great. When's the baby due?"

"A few months, I think..." We both laugh.

"Well...See ya..." He hugs me and rubs Tamra's cheek.

"Bye..."

We get back to the apartment at tea time. Tobias has made some Spaghetti for us, we sit down and eat. 

"How was your walk?" 

"It was...mind clearing. We saw Uriah, he's was acting pretty weird actually-"

"Yeah, Zeke was telling me that he panicked because he got some random woman pregnant..." Pregnant?  Uriah?

"Uriah got a random woman pregnant?" I say gobsmacked.

"That's what Zeke said." I nod. We finsh off tea and take Tamra bed. I get changed into one of Tobias's old jumpers and a pair of baggy pants. Tobias wraps his arms around me and my stomach. I close my eyes. I love him so much. I open my eyes and turn to him, he takes my face in his hands and kisses me. I place my hands around his torso and he drops his to my upper back. He pulls away.

"I love you Tris."

"I love you, Tobias." We kiss again and we settle down for sleep.
