Flashback (Mina's POV)

Mina: i think your lunch break is over. You should go back to your work. I'm going back now to the apartment and get ready for my flight tomorrow.
Chaeyoung: Mina!
Mina: bye Chaeyoung!
**on the subway on her way back to the apartment. Mina saw her....
Mina: wait a minute. Is that? She's here?
**Instead of confronting Somi. Mina doesn't want to make a scandal so she called her.
Mina: hello.
Somi: hey hon.
Mina: hey how are you?
Somi: I'm busy here at the hospital.
**at that point Mina knew Somi was really lying to her.
Mina: oh right. You're in the middle of your shift. Sorry to bother you.
Somi: it's ok.
Mina: love you. Bye
Somi: yeah. Bye
**Mina was hurt. Somi is indeed lying to her over the phone. Mina knows that she's in Seoul also riding the subway train approximately a couple of people away from each other. She wanted to go back to Chaeyoung, to the restaurant, to apologize for not trusting her. But she wasn't brave enough. She decided to just call her after office hours. She went home to the apartment and prepare her things for her early flight tomorrow going back to Japan.
Mina: did she blocked my number already. Why can't I contact her? 😕
**Mina has no idea that Chaeyoung is currently getting drunk at home.
Mina: ill just call her tomorrow
**before going to bed. She draft her break up text to Somi. It took her until 11pm to send the text. By 2am Somi was calling her but she was already asleep.
**Mina woke up late. Her flight is at 10am and it's already passed 7am. The first thing she saw was the 10 missed calls from Somi.
Mina: now you're calling huh? 🤨
**She showered , grabbed her bag and went straight to the airport. She was in a hurry that she forgot to call Chaeyoung that morning.
**Flight 423 bound for Osaka Japan is now boarding on gate 12.
Mina: ill just call her later.
**her plane landed in Osaka airport. She went straight to her apartment. She tried calling Chaeyoung again but still no answer.
Mina: is she really ignoring me.
**Mina tried calling Nayeon
Mina: hey
Nayeon: hey how are you?
Mina: I'm ok. Uhm do you know where Chaeyoung is?
Nayeon: why?
Mina: she's not answering my calls
Nayeon: maybe she's still asleep. Hungover you know.
Mina: huh?
Nayeon: she got wasted last night
Mina: why?
Nayeon: I believe you already know the answer to that.
Mina: oh.... that.
Nayeon: yeah that
Mina: that's why I'm calling her. I wanted to apologize to her. The truth is I saw Somi with a girl at the subway in Seoul.
Nayeon: oh ok. You saw Lia.
Mina: I didn't confront her. I just called and she lied to me. So I broke up with her over text
Nayeon: wow savage Mina. Anyways just call Chaeyoung in the afternoon maybe she's awake by that time and hopefully sober enough to answer your call.
Mina:ok thanks.
**Mina did try to call Chaeyoung again but still no answer. Mina has no idea that Chaeyoung is now on her way to the airport for her flight to Hawaii.

**after reading the letter Tzuyu immediately called Chaeyoung. But she's not answering her call.
Tzuyu: did something happen while I'm away? She's not answering her phone.
Momo: I'm calling Nayeon unnie.
Nayeon: hey
Momo: did Chaeyoung call?
Nayeon: no. Why? What happen?
Tzuyu: she's not answering my calls
Nayeon: isn't she at home?
Momo: we are at home and there is a note here. Saying she'll take a project abroad. She didn't say where and when she'll be back.
Nayeon: wait. Mina called me earlier she's been calling Chaeyoung also but she's not answering. I thought she's just sleeping because of hungover. Hold on Mina's calling. I'll call you back.
Mina: hello
Nayeon: did you talked to her?
Mina: no she still won't answer.
Nayeon: where is that kid? 😠
Mina: what do you mean.
Nayeon; she's not at home. Momo and Tzuyu saw a letter from Chaeyoung and they can't seem to contact her also.
Mina: what? Where is she?
Nayeon: they said Chaeyoung mention in the letter that she's doing a project abroad. But didn't mention where and when she'll be back. Hold on I'll try to call her.
Mina: call me back ok.
Nayeon: ok bye.
**Nayeon tried calling Chaeyoung but she's also not answering her. Instead she called back her sister.
Momo: hello
Nayeon: Mina also has no idea where she is. She's also not answering my calls. Have you tried calling her boss. Maybe he knows where the project is.
Momo: his secretary doesn't want to disclose any details of the project.
Nayeon: at least we know there is really a project. The question is where.
Tzuyu: and why the hck isn't she answering any of our calls.
Nayeon: don't worry. She'll call eventually.
Momo: how sure are you.
Nayeon: I'm her best friend. She'll call. Trust me. So just relax. She'll be fine. She's used to going solo backpacking abroad for the last couple of years. Anyways Have you eaten dinner.
Momo: not yet.
Tzuyu: 😞 this is exhausting. I'll pass on dinner and just go to sleep.
Nayeon: oh yeah right. Welcome back home Tzuyu
Tzuyu: thanks unnie. I'll go to sleep now. Good night
Nayeon: ok rest well. Good night.
Momo: I'll just order food and eat alone. Bye
Nayeon: haha. bye.
**Nayeon forgot to call Mina
Mina: hello
Nayeon: hey sorry I forgot to call you. Anyways I also cannot contact her.
Mina: what? Have you tried calling her boss.
Nayeon: done. They did not give any details regarding on where she is
Mina: what? What do we do now?
Nayeon: don't worry. She'll call. Trust me.
Mina: oh ok. anyways i have to go now. I have a morning shift tomorrow?
Nayeon: Are you back in Japan?
Mina: yup. Tomorrow back to work
Nayeon: oh ok.
Mina: bye.
