Scarytober Day 2: Pepper Potts

She bursted into the bathroom and closed the door in fright. She slammed open the stall and closed it and locked it and panted heavily. There was a marking on the door. She read it:

"If you yourself cannot release, then it will come and take a piece."

What does that even mean? A warning? Pepper breathed heavily and fiddled with her ring. She desperately is trying to forget her past. She took it off and was about to drop it but heard slamming, she looked around and looked down at the floor and saw two shoes from the next stall. Pepper gasped and put her hand over her mouth trying to calm down. She stood on the toilet, quietly and looked over. The two pointy shoes were still there. She looked over the stall and saw..nothing..just..nothing. Not a person. She looked back at the shoes but the shoes weren't there anymore. Maybe this is just my mind messing with me. she thought. She got down and sighed deeply. Pepper looked down and the two pointy shoes were in front of her stall pointing directly at her. She looked up and saw a something she couldn't take her eyes off. She couldn't describe its looks. She didn't see any eyes, Finger less gloves, Black sharp claws, and it's face was like a teared off kind of face. Pepper gasped and turned to drop it but she dropped the ring on the floor and this thing grabbed her legs trying to pull her away and opened her legs. She tried to grab the ring but it kept struggling to pull her. When she finally grabbed the ring. She held onto the toilet for support. She dropped the ring. It slowly started to fall. In her eyes, she kept thinking about it. The past. Her love. And trying to forget it. She heard the toilet flushed. Is it over?  She breathed heavily trying to think about what the hell just happened. She turned and saw the stall..opened? She didn't open that stall did she?  She felt her hand touching something. What was it? She looked at saw the same two pointy shoes. How.. She looked up and those black sharp claws got closer toward her face. Pepper breathed heavily. She wasn't spared. It creepily smiled at her. The next thing she knows that her screams were muffled and she was picked up.
The ring was on her hand. Her limbs was twisted and bleeding.  What was that thing?
