I pushed the note aside and noticed an envelope.

It had the royal seal. "Why haven't you looked at this?"

He shrugged and kept his eyes on me. "Why don't you look at it for me? see what it says."

I opened the envelope carefully, my heart beating to fast to slow down.

I knew Wyatt could feel my feelings. But I couldn't read his.

I opened the letter and read out loud.

"Dear Alpha Hays,

We have come to you for the fact that our daughter, Park Marion, has gone missing.

We would like to offer you an alliance, if you have our daughter we would like for you to bring her home.

If you choose to keep her, then we will have to take matters into our own hands.

You will know she is our daughter, for she is..."

Wyatt leaned forward. "She is what?"

I cleared my throat. "She. is very skillful, she is good at fighting,

We will be in your favor if you bring our daughter home,

But there is one more thing we will need to warn you.

We will be sending out guards to every pack near ours, we have two just for you.

You don't have much time, bring her home or the same fate that happened to your father

Will happen to you.

King Marion."

I put the paper back in the envelope.

That was my father, but it just doesn't make sense.

I put the letter on the desk. I looked into Wyatt's eyes.

"Your from that pack aren't you?" He whispered.

I stood up and went to him. I shrugged and leaned on the desk.

"I was, but I was homeschooled, the only friends I had were working so hard to protect the princess-"

"You have friends that are in the palace?"

Oops.

"Y-yeah, but everything that goes on in that place is confidential."

He nodded and put his hand out. He wanted me to sit on his lap.

No, he wanted me to comfort him.

But the Kiss Elliot and I shared was still lingering on my lips.

I took his hand and sat on his lap.

"What's wrong?" I asked. He put his arms around me and kissed my head.

"I just wanted you near me." He
mumbled.

I closed my eyes. Maybe I could get my father to understand. I'm not sure about my mother.

I might not be ready to accept Wyatt, but he will not die because of me.

And neither will his pack.

I have to find a way to talk to dad, he will understand.

Won't he? But Wyatt, poor Wyatt, he will be so hurt for the fact that the man he wants to kill is my father.

I will not choose between family and love.

I put my head on his chest and listened to his heart beat.

Thump-thump-thump

I was getting tired. Wyatt started to move his hands away, I snuggled closer.

"Stay, just until I fall asleep." I whispered.

He kissed the top of my head and whispered, "I will always stay, just for you."

Then darkness consumed me.
