I’ve decided to be nice. Enjoy!
Chapter 25
Epilogue
(Eric’s POV)
Today is the second best day of my life.
First, being the day I married Emily...and the night.
Second, the day of Sirena’s funeral.
Absolutely amazing!
Apparently the pathetic little girl killed herself on the day of my wedding, but of coarse she wasn’t found till 4 days later, with the knife still plunged in her chest and her body nibbled on by random animals. Poor things are probably going to get diseases from that.
Her parents were notified, of coarse, but they were traveling in some random country and couldn’t be bothered to come to their only child’s funeral, so the pack Alpha had to give the girl one.
We were all currently standing in front of the pyre that her body was to be burned on. She looked so peaceful laying there, almost like an innocent caught in the cruel world, but of coarse that thought was shattered when a fellow werewolf who was standing next to me looking at her muttered, “such a shame, she was a good fuck,” and walked away, shaking his head.
What a slut.
I looked once more at her face, which was somehow left untouched, and felt a slight twinge in my heart, knowing that this was the girl who was supposed to be my wife, who was supposed to be my everything, but was now laying on cheap wood and about to be set on fire and turned into ashes. Ashes that will simply be blown away with the wind, forgotten and unloved.
I laid a finger on her cold cheek, kind of hoping to feel those sparks that were supposed to set my world on fire, but all I felt was the cold brush of death. I wanted to look into her eyes, and see the love that all mates have, but I knew that the fates were cruel enough to give me someone who I could never be with. I always wanted a mate, but instead I got a lying slut. I sighed once more, remembering all the reasons why I hated her so much. If only she kept her leg’s shut, everything would have worked out perfectly. We would have been together.
I returned to Emily, and saw the love in her eyes that she had for me. I smiled at her, and kissed her right in front of my dead mate. I deserve this, this incredible happiness. Everyone always get’s what they deserve, after all.
Tanner set fire to the pyre with a smile upon his face.
The bitch deserves to burn.
