Side Chapter : A Little Help (GaLe)

Levy POV

I was surprised to hear Sir Capricorn calling out Lucy and Natsu at the same time. Usually, when class starts, they ignore each other, but when they do talk, they don't. They scream and shout at each other. I'm getting more curious about her.

Lucy was not to be found, maybe she was busy with some school work. not just that, Erza was no where to be found as well. It was only the three of us; Me, Juvia and Lisanna. "Man, where are those two? They said that we'll eat together." I said while around the cafeteria.

"Don't worry. They'll both be here, I know them.

During lunch, the four of us sat on a table and ate our lunch. I had tempura and rice. While we were eating, I was the one who would break the silence and try to make some conversation. "So, Lucy. What happened earlier?" I asked her while she was eating a sandwich.

"Huh? What do you mean?" She asked back.

"I mean about you and Natsu getting called on by Sir Capricorn." I said while eating some rice.

"Oh that." She thought of what happened earlier. "He was getting into my skin, so we were fighting." She laughed nervously.

Now that was definitely suspicious. They leaned in closer with their faces, full of curiosity of what I'm hiding from them. "Oh, I see. You're trying to look your best in front of a boy that you like." I said with a smirk on her face.

She got flustered as I kept on teasing her while the others were trying to eat their lunch but instead, they kept on laughing. Then, I finally stopped and Lucy went to the bathroom, at least that's she said.

I wanted to stalk her because she's been acting strange lately. But I want to be sure if she is trying to hide something or worse, she's doesn't want to hang out or even become friends. For the day, I didn't talk to her but all I did was figuring out on what's going on about her. I went home and tried to text her but she didn't reply, that raised a red flag, she will text for hours some of the time, but now, and the later days, she would try to ignore me.

The next couple days, I tried to confront her to see if she has a problem that I might help, but all she said that she "can do it all by myself." Because of this, I want to investigate her to find out what's going on with my best friend. So, it was finally Friday and it was after school. Now, I was prepared to follow Lucy, I had my magnifying glass ad everything like Sherlock Holmes. I definitely looked like a crazy person because I looked like stalking a girl, which is my best friend. She was walking to the supermarket, which is something unusual because she would normally go to a cafe or somewhere to chill with me and the girls, but instead she was buying dinner, like chicken and vegetables.

That made me think because the only reason that she's buying food is she's either making food for herself or making something for her "secret crush" like a bento box. But I'm going for the bento box, because she still lives with her parents, right?

But she wasn't going to the way that she goes home, she was going to a different street, but before I could get out of the bush, I heard someone clear his throat, which made me jump and fall down on the ground. When I looked up, all I saw was a lock of black hair, and then, I saw his face. It wasn't the person I never thought I would see outside of school, it was Gajeel.

"Uh, what are you doing?" He asked me. But I didn't respond and all I gave him was a pouty face. Then I remember about Lucy, I quickly got up and just like magic, she just vanished, she couldn't have gone around the corner because it was a long street.

Gajeel POV

I saw pouting about something in the middle of the street, I think she lost someone she was following or something, so I ask. "Why are you pouting?" She stopped pouting and gave me what was supposed to be a threatening face but it was quite a cute face, she actually looks cute when she's angry. She was punching me but it was almost like little taps for me because it was so weak. I got a hold of her head and slightly pushed her, causing her to lose balance a bit but she didn't fall.
